Well, the long wait is finally over. Just finished playing the demo, and within 5 minutes knew I would buy it. Wish the demo was a bit longer though.
For an easier time at it, play as the warrior. He's incredibly powerful from the get go, and he has a cool fire sword attack. X, X, X, X, B - is a useful attack to know.
If you're worried about the graphical overhaul, you needn't worry. From the get go you have the ability to use the original graphics. I decided to check out the remixed graphics, and I actually like them quite a bit. They remind me, stylistically speaking, of Yoshi's Island, as if done up almost as chalk drawings. Whatever anyone else's opinion, i liked them.
And, it's only 800 msp, $10. Only way to beat that would be $5, but ten is a steal for a game of this caliber.
Go forth, and enjoy old-school greatness.

I got this game for Christmas many, many years ago and have hardly touched it. I feel horribly guilty.
But I will play the shit out of it with my brother tomorrow.

Speaking of Saturn Games, I just bought Virtual Hydlide. It was being demoed and I thought it looked hilarious.

One of my favorite games of all time. Of course, my 360 is dead (never was able to connect it online, anyway). Too bad they didn't release it on PSN for whatever reason... OH WELL.

Oops, sorry.
I think I just assumed it was. Wow, sucks to be a PS3 owner this time.
Kinda fekin lame that it's XBLA only. Why even do that?
Sorry for the confusion.

I believe Treasure made some sort of deal with Microsoft to exclusively release a lot of their games only on Xbox 360. I don't know if that's the official word, I just kinda heard that somewhere. Works for me, though, I currently don't have a PS3...
I really enjoy the mix of beat 'em up game play, technical moves/combos and rpg elements. The remixed mode graphics are really nice and adds a smooth hand-drawn style. However, I'm also somewhat partial to the original mode because I'm an archaic dinosaur that still loves his sprites. Overall a decent package for only 10 bucks. Yeah, I think it'd be worth getting even if it was $15.
