For those that hate the DmC reboot, at least we can enjoy the first 3 all over again,

There are areas in DMC2 that will look horrible. We don't wanna see some of those graphics in high definition...

But yes, I will probably get this someday. Oddly enough, I'm getting more interested in the DmC reboot with every gameplay video I see. I don't necessarily agree with the redesign of Dante, but the game that goes with him doesn't look half bad. Ninja Theory could very well fuck it up though. They're not exactly my favourite developer ever.

DMC2 was a piece of shit, they should remake the game from scratch.
If not, then it'll be an HD piece of shit in this collection.

Gameplay: DON'T use your sword, the better off you'll be, still pretty bad though

DMC2 is the only game that made me feel that Dante shouldn't be fucked with.

I hope the VO is unchanged, because Arius in DMC2 was comedy gold at certain parts.

Also, DMC1 fucking NEEDS the option to go back to the title screen when you die. Why this wasn't put in is completely beyond me.

Hopefully this HD collection will sell more than that new shitty DMC game they're making. If that happens, maybe Capcom will realize just what the fuck mistakes they made with that Edward Cullen lookalike bullshit they're trying to pull.

I don't think I've ever been more conflicted on a game than DmC (maaaybe LoS). On the one hand, I would love it if the game were in fact another great Devil May Cry, because those are awesome.

But on the other hand, I'd also love it if Tameem Antoinades ate a heaping pile of shit for talking shit about the older DMCs, Bayonetta, DMC fans, and emphasizing fashion statements and "disenfranchised youth" over anything else (because that's what Devil May Cry is all about amirite?). (Ultimately, Capcom should eat shit for thinking this was a good idea.)

It's kind of hard to predict how the whole thing will turn out. Despite being a turd, DMC2 sold way more than it deserved probably due to being named DMC alone; then again, its producers weren't seen in numerous interviews being pompous assholes to the fan base.

Obviously, there's just no fucking way DmC will sell 5 mil; Capcom was retarded for wanting the sales of Call of Duty in A) a completely different genre of game, and B) by dick-slapping what was already much loved and established. Whether or not it will be a complete flop has yet to be seen, I guess.

I'm not a fan of Devil May Cry at all, but I'm glad they keep releasing these collections cause if they do well, we'll continue to see more

I have to disagree. The story was retarded. It made no sense what so ever. And the game play was a pale imitation of DMC1. That's why it's a bad idea to have two teams working on a game AND it's first sequel simultaneously.

It seems many fans of this series WISHES that the DmC reboot will be terrible? I've never understood this. What if the game is good? People are calling it a "piece if shit" based on Dante having a new haircut and color. I'm sorry, but the gameplay looks like a real DMC game. Awful isn't it? The horror of having a new fun game to play!!! I can't take it!!

No but seriously, I'm gonna check it out cause it might be worth it.

Also, this new HD Collection is nice because all PS2 games look much worse on my HDTV than they did on my ole fat one. It's hard to stomach, especially in DMC1 and 3 which both looked damn good before.

Anyway.. All they had to do was bring Vergil back and the game would have been successful.

 and since people Praised so much on that piece of shit Kratos, all the companies want thier main character to be more of an asshole...

Personally, the new Dante look alot like a Punked up Brad Pitt fresh off of Fight Club.

This. If Tameem Antoinades had just been personable right off the bat (as in some more recent interviews), instead of being an arrogant blowhard towards fans, the old games, and other games in general (Bayonetta "too Japanesey"? Bitch what?), I think many more fans would have been willing to listen and adapt to the change.

But he's kinda dug a premature grave for his game by being a dick.

Maybe the whole reboot idea was because Capcom kinda screwed up the timeline of the games. Is it said that DMC4 supposedly takes place after 1 but before 2? and then we have DMC3 as a prequel to 1, so none of the games are in order am no understand???

I still think this game can easily still be a prequel of a younger Dante Causing Trouble, the Reboot title is still an excuse to make fans angery...
