but it would have to be a persistent world, oh yeah and include a jump button with plenty of platforming too.

you can say the same for almost every other game thogh.... Like DMC, you can be humans with abilities, half demons, full dmeons fighting eachother, customize it and plentiful differences.
Ninja Gaiden, different Ninja Clans. and such. I would like a castlevania mmo though, I just wish its well done and free. But those 2 things don't go together much.

then how 'bout a Bleach MMORPG. >.> ;)
-
I don't know if MMORPG style would work for a game like this though, cuz eventually the game would have to end, it would have to be like a whole new style of MMORPG that eventually ends but lets you keep your characters and doesn't allow new people to join in once the game starts. Hmm I'm not sure how they could do a castlevania MMORPG. ?

Dracula cmae back, Belmont went to figt him and failed, so a bunch of other people came to kill him, and people can play armor makers to help and stuff.
-
I kind of doubt many of the castlevania players would want to play some guy sitting the entire day and night inside a shop making/selling some crap, seeing as cv series was by itself an action platformer, not shop simulator. :P
I could see just about everyone picking a job suitable for vampire hunting and monster killing, not making potions all day. :o

you'd be surprised. If you play UO, ther are lots of people who play as Craftsman and such. Its one reason I don't touch these newer games, they don't have a craftsman part to their game and you buy everything.
Thats why I still play UO.

I call petrifying medusa head in front of the final platform in the clocktower.

hee hee a Castlevania MMORPG would covince more fans if it includes every single Castlevania music track in history,
and players can earn/unlock them doing certain quests, and they can "Equip" those music tracks for any zone and battle situation too, therefore creating their own custom musical atmosphere for each area and boss-class fights as well. :)
-
players would create their own vampire hunter, and the quests would involve hunting many rare monsters.
Well, what if I want to be a vampire??? Still, nice ideas.

this is were pvp comes in. There can be an evil faction with races from different kinds of undead and theyd have quests to try to help Drac succeed.
I think that vampires and werewolves should only be from good human characters that get infected and willingly become them thus switching sides.

I disagree with only the good becoming bad, Dacula has bad mem under him as well, look at Shaft. BUT, I guess you can count them as evil guys under the guise of good guys til they gain that change.

I think the system would worka bit like Space Cowboy Online's system does.
At one point, you get to choose whether you remain with the "Vampire Hunters" or willingly choose Dracula's side of the fight. PVP would be a whole lot more reasonable, then. Though, it'd be practically mandatory but it wouldn't be 1 vs 1.

you must have missed the part where I said theres an entire 2nd team of races like undead and lesser demons and things like that for dracs side.
Only vampires and werewolves are made from good players that willingly become infected and switch sides. Not dracs entire realm.

Becoming a werewolf or vampire could be part of the gameplay, but no one should have to switch sides. I think it would be more interesting if it is left up to the player. We already know that there are noble werewolves who fight against Dracula in the Castlevania universe (see: Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness).

Castlevania MMO?
LOL?
HELL NO!!!

I would play it. the shear amount of mythology and randomness that the could put into the game would be amazing!!!
