Title: Happy Halloween
Post by: Reinhart77 on October 31, 2011, 02:51:29 PM
Happy Halloween all.  Question:

What Castlevania game are you playing this Halloween?

Me?  I'll try to finish up the Resurrection DLC and listen to some of Chernabogue's Vampire Variations.

Lament of Innocence gives off a great Halloween vibe (esp. playing as a Pumpkin)

Super Castlevania IV is also a great Halloween game for its creepy atmosphere.

Or you can boot up Symphony of the Night & turn the speakers all the way up so the trick or treaters can here awesome music as they approach your house!

I COMPLETELY agree. ;D

Indeed :) but isn't this kind of a disappointing Halloween for games? No new castlevania, silent hill, resident evil or anything. Ah well.

I would have played Bloodlines if my Emulator worked right.

So ill settle for Symphony Richter mode instead.

SCVIV

With so much atmosphere, it's a great choice for this special day.

Lament would also be a good run too.

ugh, i failed today at beating Resurrection.  all because i simply suck at aiming swords.  did the first two just find, but always messed up on the third one.  try again later.  shoot, seeing the ending story would have just made my Halloween.

I was thinking about the same thing
Damn I hate Konami, guess they really have decided to do nothing for Castlevania's anniversary.

Oh well happy halloween everyone
and remember to put your garlic and holy water to good use if any little monsters show up at the door expecting to get treats.

I did play Castlevania 1 for a couple of levels, but then I decided to play my all-time favourite Halloween game instead - Shadowgate for the NES :) It's becoming a tradition for me. It has great atmosphere. Very eerie and you feel so hopelessly alone in that creepy castle.

I started yesterday at 6:30 am by seeing the movie Bram Stoker's Dracula (complete, for the first time), and I really like it :D. Then I played the final battle from Curse of Darkness, taking more time than the usual in his first form to hear my favorite Dracula's song: Toccata into blood soaked Darkness. After that, I begin a new game, only to see the storyline to CoD, and then the first minutes. That's all  :-\. But, tomorrow its the "Deaths Day" in my country (Dia de Muertos), and I am planning seeing either Van Helsing or Blade Trinity. A Lament of Innocence final battle (like the CoD I did) would not be bad idea ;).

Hope everyone had a great Halloween!

Been playing Harmony of Despair like usual but used Simon's orange and green palette in honor of the holiday.

Didn't play any either, but I installed some VC ones on a friend's Wii.

I couldn't play any.  My power went out on Saturday due to a freak snow storm that hit the north east US.  My handheld systems (ds, psp) were also dead and I couldn't charge them due to the lack of power.

late, but Tuesday Night I DL'd the 1970 italian Dracula movie with Christopher Lee and watched it on Wednsday. It was good, but near the middle started getting a bit slow and the end was sort of anti climactic and felt too fast. The atmosphere at the beginning of the movie was great though.
