Title: Terraria
Post by: Nail_Bombed on December 12, 2011, 02:17:21 PM
Got this game a week ago.... it has been eating into my waking hours a lot. Very very addictive. And I still haven't found everything it has to offer yet, or gone onto multiplayer (most because multi looks like a hassle to set up)... basically a 2d Minecraft-type game but with more emphasis on adventuring than building although you can do that as well if you want to - I've created a kind of treehouse for myself and my NPC's to live in and amass loot. Haven't dare go near the latest boss, The Wall Of Flesh yet, I am nowhere near strong enough I reckon. Anyone else played or checked it out?

I've played it a bit, ya. I don't know if this is a good thing but i've spent about 80% of my time on the game gathering materials and have still found it really really fun. One of these days i'll get around to building a house. I was happy when i got my gold sword though. I have not tried multiplayer as well. I don't have a good enough grip on the game yet. I have not faced any of the bosses because 1. I'm not nearly strong enough, and 2. I don't know how to summon them in the first place.

OK, so after I got the requisite armor and weapons I took on the Wall Of Flesh.... which was a hard but fun battle..... but now my world hates me. It's rate of spreading corruption has increased and some extremely nasty monsters have spawned on my world.... for which I had to read the wiki and find out I need to create different ores to make MORE and better weapons and armor. And apparently I have to take on new bosses now as well. This is all well and good, I enjoy a challenge in my games, but the difficulty meter now that I've changed the world by beating the Wall has just risen over 9000, and now the world inevitably kicks my ass every time I leave my treehouse door.
