just wondering, how is your username directly relevant to castlevania series?
is it inspired by an item, weapon, magic, subweapon, etc?
or is it relevant to a character?
...or maybe it's not relevant to castlevania at all, hmm?
well for mine, it's sort of a 2dvania tradition since rondo of blood for the main hero to die in a bloody mist, hence my username.
*loses all my life* "arrrghh!!!" *dissolves into a bloody mist*
Du-du-du-Du-du-du-Du-dunn!
-
None whatsoever. I just dig the series.
The Indra's Fire tag is somewhat tied to a weapon in Aria Of Sorrow however.
-
Nope, not at all here.
-
None. I've used this username for so long that I don't even remembver what it means or how to pronounceit anymore.
-
None whatsoever.
I've used this alias for years.
-
Oh good question. My username is somewhat related to Castlevania. Ayami Kojima used this name to sign some of her drawings especially for the novels she illustrated .It translates to Black Swan Odile (from the Swan Lake) I think. Proof:

Mine is just indonesian for "Vampire Hunter".
-
Mine is pretty obvioius...
But just to spell it out, It has to do with the dark prince and son of Dracula named Alucard. ;)

The bad guy from Dracula: The Series in the early '90s?
-
"ridureyu" actually translates to "pig's ear"
"OSM" abbreviated for "Oswaldo Stewart McElroy"
"ahasverus" means "he who is oblivious" in some dialects
"Flame" chose his name cuz "fire" was too simple
"thernz" was actually supposed to be "the_rnz," rnz meaning "real new zinga"
k i'm done trolling you guys
i guess you can say there is a "crisis" in every CV game :D
-
My real name is Rory and I've always had a gothic aesthetic style that leans towards stuff like Castlevania. So, naturally a nick like "Gory Rory" just suits me ;)
-
"ridureyu" actually translates to "pig's ear"
It does?
Dude, that is so awesome! I wonder if I can find the right lady to make a silk purse out of me ;D
-
"Flame" chose his name cuz "fire" was too simple
Well from dealing with Flame, from time to time he does like to "flame" on other Dungeonites whenever it suits him which I think is what his username secretly implies ;D
My user name was in use long before I ever signed up for the Dungeon. This would've been back prior to '97, when I was still in High school. It was an artist signature for me and somewhat of a nod to my favorite SNES game Mega Man X. I like the letter X for some reason. It's simple yet speaks volume for some.

Ahasverus is the hebrew name of the legendary Character "The Wandering Jew"
The Wandering Jew is a figure from medieval Christian folklore whose legend began to spread in Europe in the 13th century. The original legend concerns a Jew who taunted Jesus on the way to the Crucifixion and was then cursed to walk the earth until the Second Coming. The exact nature of the wanderer's indiscretion varies in different versions of the tale, as do aspects of his character; sometimes he is said to be a shoemaker or other tradesman, while sometimes he is the doorman at Pontius Pilate's estate.
While I've always find the character fascinating, I read that some people think the Count of Saint Germain to be it.
Yep, it's a reference o the most obsure character in CV history.
@Crisis: Hahahahah I seee wat yu did thar!
-
Ahaseurus is also a variant name of Xerxes - as in, the same one from the Book of Esther and the Battle of Thermopylae.
-
I simply slapped Cronqvist as Draccy's Embarassing Middle Name.
...It seemed like a good idea back then. :-X

So, in other words, I'm awesome
;D
(didn't have idea!)

My name is because I just want the series to move foward not only that Gabriel became one of my favorite belmont's I do have a 8-bit sprite version of him. Now yes I love past castlevania's, but at the same time the metroidvanias that kept coming out were becoming stale and I wanted something new (in fact I think I typed advocate of the future at one point) because cv deserves to be more, to move foward and try new things(hell we have three different kinds of styles classic, metroidvania, and 3d and most of the time we just get metroidvanias?).
-
None whatsoever.
;D
-
Nothing for me either. I just think Geckos are really cool. ;D
I had a pet leopard gecko named Ray when I first joined this community in 2005, I believe.
-
None whatsoever.
;D
Your name makes me hungry.

LONG AGO IN THE YEAR 2000, I posted on the Konami board under the name Lord Death which was a name I used for my stupid Castlevania website and was a name I respectfully ripped off from another Castlevania website dude whose name was Lord Grim Reaper.
When I came to the Dungeon board, I used the name castlevania_freak which was taken from my email address. SEEKING SOMETHING A LITTLE LESS LAME, I began using Lord Death, but then also played around with "Freak" preceded by other adjectives, and Abnormal Freak was the most constant and most used.
THAT IS THE TALE of my username and how it relates to Castlevania, in that it evolved from such but now has nothing at all to do with the series.
And none of these fuckers are me:

http://www.myspace.com/abnormalfreak (http://www.myspace.com/abnormalfreak)
http://isitnormal.com/people/abnormalfreak/ (http://isitnormal.com/people/abnormalfreak/)
(I'm guessing they use the name in a "woe, I'm such an abnormal freak" kind of way, where mine was always tongue-in-cheek)
so in recent years I've been using the name less and less.
-
I got my username from combining my two favorite Belmonts, Julius and Richter.
Just kiddings, it's my initials.
-
Nothing at all for me. My name evolved from Pink Floyd Guy to PFG to PFG9000, to tie it in with the avatar I've been using forever.
-
None to Castlevania. It's just the username I use for everything.
-

I thought the 9000 stands for your power level. Trollololo :P
My name on the site was initially Fallen Archangel, maybe in some connection with Heroes of Might and Magic, one of my favorite game series.
Than I decided it's somewhat over-the-top and switched it to Freddy Krueger because he's an awesome character who kills annoying, stupid teenagers. Then it was Sgt. Freddy when I was a soldier, and now I'm a drunktard. Why am I a drunktard? Because I'm a college student. ;D
-
My forum alias has nothing to do with the franchise as is, but in fact my name is basically a mixture between two of my most favorite In Flames albums: The Jester Race and Colony. :)
-
There was a chick on the original forum that still goes by Succubus, and I chose mine because I thought it would be cool to have an Incubus too. I added the extra 'c' because there was already a user called Incubus that was inactive and because I thought it looked better next to Succubus. Connection to CV is, hopefully, obvious.
Oh. and my avatar is the same in all forums I use. It being, of course, nothing to do with CV. It's an edit of a FF1AE sprite made to look like a custom sprite I did for FFT, and it evolved at the Final Fantasy Hacticks forum.
-
Nothing really. Or..well..kind of, maybe, but it wasn't Castlevania I was thinking about when I came up with it.
-
Oh. and my avatar is the same in all forums I use.
Same with mine. Well, it's the same in all the other ones I used to go to, anyway.
-
Nope. Mine is just the one I used to use on the IMDB message boards.
-
Mine is from here:(http://www.gbdb.org/images/games/nemesis/nemesis_11_box_front.jpg)
-
None. Started with Serpent, and then reached Kale. I have a name I've progressed to and will prolly stay at thought. Still use them all too.
-
...
-
None.
It is orginated as tribute to another franchise. Or rather character that I was a big fan of.
-
Abbreviated from my first ever internet name. Unit Zero Omega. Megaman based, obviously. "UZO" just sounded a lot less silly. I kept it here because of tradition, but on most places these days I usually just use my first name, and middle+last initials if necessary. Sometimes prefixed by the "DS" abbreviation for my website.
-
Mine is from the Guyver series, not castlevania related, but just as cool. Though it should be noted that as a kid, I wanted a Guyver game to emulate castelvania but with a few changes.
-
heh, if the spelling mistake doesn't throw you off, i'm figuring the profile pic would give off who my user name is supposed to be. i went as him for Halloween one year, so i kept the name.

my username belonged to a belmont character i created some time ago.
-
Hey, what's up, everyone?
In my Castlevania history, I have some usernames, mostly for my mails accounts. My first was Grandfallon18 (you know, Legion in SoTN. The 18 is my lucky number :) ); Mike Akumajo (Demon Castle, I believe); and now I am Mike Belmont, because of the Belmont last name (not Gabriel, obviously ;) ).
Very interesting theme, for sure :D .
-
As my name might imply, it has nothing to do with Castlevania. It has more to do with Kirby, if anything.
-
Usernames? Uhhhhh...
-
Pretty obvious, but it's a combination of my favorite X-men character and Castlevania. :p
-
Usernames? Uhhhhh...
Obviously it's a take on the Fernandez family, what with the similar ethnic origin and everything. And I bet that D. has something to do with Castlevania! What's it stand for? Dracula? Dullahan? Desmondbelmont?

I'm leaning towards Vampire Hunter D.
