Title: What game I think needs to be made for any of CV's anniversaries...
Post by: Claimh Solais on March 17, 2012, 07:58:51 PM
LEGO Castlevania.

You know in your heart it would be awesome.

Imagine. Over 60 freakin' playable characters from anywhere throughout the series with several scenarios showing humorous portrayals of the various events of the games' storylines.

It would truly be an amazing anniversary title.

Or rather, better than HD, if anything.

I've never really got into Lego games. For me it's all about the building  ;D

I don't have the patience to build anything noteworthy in LEGO. I've been planning to build a CV2 Simon sprite for a while now, but never started. I made his foot a while back, but it... broke.

Hell, even a boxset to build stuff with would be nice. (Reminds me kind of that god-awful bonus that came with DXC).

first we need an actual Castlevania Lego set before anything like that ever happens.  has Lego ever cross-franchised with anything from Japan?

that being said, i think big shiny box containing a Create Dracula's Castle set would be awesome wrapped under a Christmas tree.  Does Lego have Iron Maiden pieces?  I'm they they could snap together.

From what I could gather, no. The closest I could find (at least according to Wikipedia) was a theme based on the live action adaptation of the Speed Racer anime.

ah, well its possible then.  do they have Legos in Japan?  or is there some other local toy company like Legos that has 80% of the marketplace.

Gimme a Castlevania Lego set then we can talk. Creature of Chaos castle indeed. I may give it many forms.

I think they might. Lego Star Wars is extremely popular so they could be selling those particular sets in Japan.

There is a tone of Medieval Lego sets out there. I'm sure that one of them has an iron maiden casket. That being said I actually went and built a Dracula's castle out of Lego once. It was small by comparison but it had hidden rooms, a clock tower, Dracula's tower, dinning hall adjacent to a library via a moveable bookshelf. I ran out of flats just putting it all together  :)

Lego Japan (http://www.lego.com/ja-jp/)

If someone here wants to make a lot of money (maybe), you can go to Lego's website and download the Lego Designer (http://ldd.lego.com/en-us/Default.aspx?icmp=COUSCreateShareSL100DBM) and build Dracula's Castle.

While googling for any Castlevania-related Lego stuff, I found this, and it's effin' amazing.

That's just one stage and while it is nifty, I want the whole Castle built to scale.

I 100% approve of this idea. A Lego Castlevania game would be HILARIOUS and quite possibly awesome too!

Lego will never, ever do this, but I'd buy it.

I'm all for this! It can be as over the top as it wants to be and not be outrageus. Ands its play style is very very adaptable to the CV gameplay.

Bring it on Traveler Tales! :D

One idea would be to have a hub world, much like in the LEGO Star Wars Trilogy, where different doors lead to short "remakes" of classic Castlevania games. In each game you rescue/unlock the corresponding protagonist and can then use him/her on the fly. Putting one or two key levels from EVERY Castlevania ever made, in 3D with LEGO graphics, would make for a quite lenghty game too. The gameboy games could even be in black & white :D

And when you beat all of the game you can tackle an original final level with a Drac shodown!

I actually had a PC Program called "Lego Creator" and built some great stuff with it.  Castlevania-ish stuff...
...but then I had to format my HDD. :(

I hotlinked to the newest version in my original post to this thread.

WTF. I just downloaded the newest version and it says in the system requirements 1 gB hard drive space. WTF?

I'll say! Those are some awesome pics! I like that sacrifice image too  ;D Using that LEGO digital designer Jorge mentioned I made myself some small-scale models of the Pharos Lighthouse and the Great pyramid as it may have looked on completion. I am however still working on a classic Final Fantasy airship with a more modern uptake. It took me about three weeks just to build a freak'n turbo-prop engine for it as I'd never do it before.

I'd probably buy it because of how silly it sounds.

The idea came to me with LEGO Indiana Jones. All the whip mechanics made me think CV.

Seriously, if it ever happened, I'd buy it day one.

I think Lego Castlevania would be a cool idea but I don't see it happening. As for people asking about Castlevania sets, I'm sure you just make a castle and whatnot. They are Legos afterall.

I thought the Richter was really cool. I made a Belmont guy in my past Lego games. His name was Walter Belmont, and he fought the vampire king.
