This popped into my head while cooking up scrambled eggs for breakfast (try putting a little sugar in with the eggs before you cook them, trust me):

And I'm not just referring to Super Meat Boy. There have been a lot of games in VG history to feature fetal bosses. Even that one incarnation of Legion was fetal in design (although I guess that was already dead).

Contra had them. Also some shmup games, I believe. The only question is, what were they thinking?

inb4 Giygas conspiracies

Yes, they do promote abortions. They promote abortions of those giant, self-sufficient fetuses that attack you with fireballs, lasers, and homing missiles. I hate those things.

Super R-Type comes to mind.

HAHAH! WTF? Google scares me with what it can find for me sometimes.

... But to be fair, I shouldn't be scared by Google......

To be serious for a moment, though, I assume games with fetal bosses/enemies are less interested in promoting abortion--or making any political point, for that matter--and more interested in freaking out the player. Mutant babies are just an effective way of doing that. XD

If people want to be freaked out by fetuses the look no further then the images painted/drawn by H. R. Giger. He has a serious dislike of fetuses (or babies for that matter).
