I remember when I was much younger, it was a Harvest Moon in October. The thing was flippin' HUGE! I mean, it was HUUUUUUGE! It spanned my whole view almost. It was right on the horizon, so the atmosphere distorted the view. My god, the thing was ominous. Big, orange rock spanning from far left of my visible range to the far right of my visible range. ... Didn't think I was gonna die, just thought it was awesome looking. I knew even back then that it was atmospheric refraction.
