Like the title says! My friend Gemini has pretty much lost interest in messing with SOTN. So I figure if I can get a little more exposure for the project, I can find other coders/hackers who might have the exp, and will want to help.
Does anyone have any advice as to what sites to post at, so that people will notice what I'm working on? Any links that you guys think would be helpful would be appreciated. 8)

Making your own website for the project may be the best way to go, if you're really serious about it, especially with finding help. There, you can show what you've done, what you're capable of, what you plan to do, and so forth.
However, don't expect people to just magically show up at your website. You'll have to promote it in some way. The thing I'd do is make a site all about the project, then figure out where to post at.
You're going to need a real website, too. Not a myspace page or something like that.
If you're looking for serious help, some sort of game development forum may be your best bet. Most of the people there will probably be busy with their own projects, but you may snag someone that is impressed with what you're doing and wants to be a part of it.

Pull its pants down...

Youtube videos.

Yeah Esco, the Youtube route is a good one. And a web site is a must.
I know you have a couple of vids up on Youtube, but some more, as well as a web site link in the vids would really help.

Plug it on the various ROM-hacking forums. Romhacking.net, for example.
That's your best bet IMO.

I already posted it on romhacking.net.... let's just say a lot of those people need to desperately pull the stick out. Do you guys know of any other good hacking sites I should post up at?
I DO intend to post up more youtube videos.... in fact I should really record some more from earlier in the game.
And I don't know much about HTML or making websites sadly.
:(

You don't really need rocket science for site making. Just look at mine, very very simple and crappy but gets the point across. :P

I'm looking forward to trying it out Esco, and I got my Xbox controller hooked up to my PC so I'm ready to play at my best ;D
Also dude, I'm pretty sure you can host it on Coolrom.com (I've noticed by the original roms there will be a "XX speed hacked version.) So, by the original game, there could be "Esco SOTN hack" or whatever you see fit to naming it. Good luck.

Yeah, what Serio said. You don't need to go all out for a site. For what you'd need to do, look for a place that gives you free hosting and one that has a site builder and templates that you can choose from. Those will make it so you can design a site without really having to design it. I wouldn't try building it from the ground up in your situation.
Of course, you don't have to do that. But, it's good, and more organized, to have a solid base that people can refer to for information on your project.
Forums are very fluid. Your posts will be lost and forgotten over time, so you will miss people that are potentially interested in your project, or interested in helping you. And, if you keep posting topics about the project to avoid something like that, you run the risk of annoying the members there by constantly plugging your thing.

Yeah, what Serio said.

Basically what everyone said. But I would add:
Go to any and every Castlevania related site/forum and post and promote it. Go straight to the fans!
Also, promote it on MySpace and/or Facebook. Search for Castlevania on there and hit up everyone on there who is into Castlevania. That alone would probably bring you a lot of hits.

Links? Because I couldn't seem to find any other half decent castlevania forums. The ones I saw were as dead as an IRAQI fighter pilot over US airspace! :P

That's a good idea.

There's the chapel of resonance/anti chapel for example. That forum's more active than here.

If you really don't have the time to learn HTMl I suggest you use programs such as dreamweaver, It allouws you to build sites in a MSPaint kind of way but at the same time has HTML support for when you want to change it with HTML.
