I enjoyed HNK2 anime as much as the Raoh era, so the story will be great presented to a broader audience that haven't seen the Gento, Asura/Shura arcs. Ken's Rage could have used more faster paced combat, but overall I found the gameplay to more amazing than any Dynasty/Samurai Warriors game (even One Piece Pirate Warriors gameplay doesn't grasp the impact, brutality and fun factor that Ken's Rage combat possesses.), especially the depth in the skill development system, as well as the overwhelming selection of Signature Moves each character unlocks (8 unique super moves each!)
Some fans are guessing the original 8 are returning (with possibly Heart and that thug DLC included on disk) to boost the amount of fanservice this sequel can bring. ;D

Koei seems to have ties with a HNK2 fansite. They said if it gets enough likes they will release more info sooner. http://www.facebook.com/koeiwarriors (http://www.facebook.com/koeiwarriors) Well either way they will release info, I think they have preset schedule for information releases anyway. Though it is surprising they released the english teaser trailer before it's even announced in Japan, so the localization might be farther along than expected. :)

I remember when the first game was announced and everyone was waiting on wether or not it would come westward.
Glad it did.
It will of course follow the story after Raoh. I wonder, will it follow all the way through? or stop and leave the land of Asura for a third game?

I think the story will be from start of HNK2 to finish. HNK2 is actually shorter than HNK1, and the story is basically composed of two main arcs, the Gento arc, and the much larger Shura/Asura arc (which also encompasses the Rasho.) :) If they manage to add 8 new playable characters, they can fit in all the most important characters such as Falco, Shachi, Han, Hyo, and Kaioh, with the remaining 3 probably have some combination of either Ein, Soria, Jukei, Kaiser, Akashachi, Kuroyasha, and/or Rin. :) HNK1 did the You Wa Shock theme remix well done, so Tough boy could get a remix, as well as I Kill the Fight (which I think it also played in HNK1, maybe). Maybe even that cool credits song featuring a girl, I think it was Rin was in the credits animation, that played during the last episodes of the season. I don't know the name of the song, but it's very cool song. :)

Well unlike most companies that just flat out give up on the west (like Square Enix's case with Tobal 2, or Sony's division that brought that survival horror masterpiece, SIREN on PS2, but then decided not to bring SIREN 2 to North America because of Siren 1's sales. Then they tried westernizing Siren 1 and remaking it into Siren Blood Curse, which was stupid in my opinion. A videogame doesn't need american characters to sell successfully in the west. Siren 2 already fixed and improve the gameplay Siren 1 established without diminishing the hardcore gameplay and fear and without westernizing the characters or story.),
Koei is willing to give the West another try, since even they seem to admit that Ken's Rage 1 could have been much better, but of course, it's the first try at FOTNS, with a new engine built for it too, so like any DW series, a series can get better and win more sales with sequels that refine and build upon the foundation they established.
Oh the fan site is allowing people to share a question that might be presented to the producer!! ;D

New trailer has story spoilers. First half shows some important scenes from the story, then second half focuses more on gameplay features including Legend mode (single player story ) Dream mode (1-2 players splitscreen and Online co-op) and Team Versus (8 players online).
