Wii's definitely looking spiffier through component. I'm just really curious as to why it outputs color through S-Video so dark; usually with better color depth would be, well, more vibrant color, I would assume.

It even exudes some of that yummy "soft edge" while retaining the sharp detail, though my iPhone pic here shows it to be softer than it is since I don't think it was completely in focus.
I wonder how VC games will look output through the Wii U with HDMI? I'm hoping absolutely bonerific. This also gives me more reason to track down a good SDTV that has component—wanna score me a widescreen one if it gives me all the right viewing and zoom options. (Would hate to have 4:3 content stretched to 16:9 or not have the ability to zoom in on non-anamorphic widescreen DVDs.)
