So you may remember several months ago, I debuted here with a question about the viability of a Castlevania game where the levels were randomly generated a-la roguelikes. Some great discussion followed, with many of you creative types exploring the what-ifs.
As it turns out...someone HAS been working on such an idea:

Now don't be scared by that "for Linux" tag. (I'm not, because I AM using it.) The article clearly states that it will be hitting Windows and Mac as well.
Boy, am I glad I was looking up random crap tonight! ;D

It honestly looks dull and flat.
-
It looks cute! In the vein of MiniTroid.
I'd give it a shot, if only it weren't 'coming soon'.

Interesting
-
Not quite sure what to make of it.
music sounds nice, and it's bright and colorful, but stages look kinda flat and the character sprites look kinda messy and bad.
ill hold judgement till I play though.

Now is it coming soon or Coming Soon™ ala Blizzard?
-
I think they're shooting for next June. So it's not quite as nebulous as a "Blizzard Soon". ;)

Goddamnit, I love the Cave Story look.
Rougelikes sound like just the thing that could spice up action/adventure or hack n' slash games, as you kids call em' nowadays. 8)

Enemy bosses look pretty but the character could look better, other than that I wouldn't mind playing that. ;D
-
I too would like a randomized CV game, but sadly the graphical style is kind of a turn off to me =/
