Greetings.
It seems like Vampire is no longer downloadable. Anyone has the 'vampire4.zip' in their collections? I searched for all over google and ended up with one more (1) link, also dead.
Thanks in advance.

Wow that homebrew goes way back.
Umm... I don't have it! I used to but the drive it was on has passed.
Hopefully someone else here has it. I have to give my backups a more thorough look to see if we get lucky with the install.
Incidentally, anything that was on the Dungeon (or Hardcore Gaming 101)'s Fileplanet files is inaccessible.
We're gonna have to see if we have backups (Kurt should) and put 'em up on Mediafire or something.
-
I've been meaning to track that down myself, so hopefully it surfaces somewhere.
-
Lord Fuentes. Thank you very much in advance for the check.

You can find it here

I just downloaded it myself so the link here shouldn't be dead

Holy crap. I just downloaded all the soundtracks on the media page just like... 3 weeks ago. Perfect timing, eh?

Sweet! Thanks for the link!
Someone should totally translate this puppy. Then some one should hack in Sonia as the protagonist and rewrite the script a little.
It's definitely one of the best CV clones of all time. Ranks right up there with Soul of Dracula. One of the things I loved about it was the way the ribbon is animated. I always thought that would have been a great alternative to the classic CV whip animation.

VAMPIRE is still in the works?? I thought this home brew was abandoned years ago! And I also thought that SPIRIT was gone as well since I'd been trying to locate their web page for a long time.
-
Lord Belmont, Lord Koutei, thank you!
-
Awesomeness! ;D

Yes, This project restarted.

Wow! Thanks Koutei, I've been waiting since 2005 for some update about this project, I've even thinked thats have been canceled ;D
-
I am so sorry to bump this, but the new Castlevania book from Hardcoregaming101 got me interested in this game, and all the download links in this thread seem to be 404'd. Is there still hope?
-
zobek.. lord of the thread-necromancers :-X

Already done. But I had to fit the replacement sprites into the same dimensions so I may not have done the best job. And I got Sonia sprites from three different sources and made some slightly different ones look a little more alike. http://gokuma.voila.net/drac.html (http://gokuma.voila.net/drac.html) First thing listed under homemade games.
Koutei, if this is your project, just let me know if I should take down the vampire4.zip from my page.
EDIT: Oops, I just saw the dates in late August and didn't realize I was replying to posts from 2012. I shot the sheriff, but I did not bump the thread.

Well...now that it's been bumped, necromanced, and otherwise (at least temporarily) revived...is this game still around somewhere? It looks pretty nice!

Had to dig it off an old hard drive since all of the Gamespy links went down years ago. It still works on modern Windows platforms, pleasantly enough. I THINK the webpage says there was another revision after this one, but it's disappeared into the ether of the internet.

Thanks!

Holy crap, why have I never heard of this before? Liking the sprite work here!
