Hi guys!
I don't get it. The combo shield rod + Alucard shield don't work with me. I use it and a "?" sign appears on top of Alucard's head, but that's it, nothing change. What do I have to do for this get to work?
-
Read the names of the things you are equiping more carefully.
-
Well, it is shield rod + Alucard shield, that's for sure. And the "?" woundn't appear for no reason. :(
-
are you sure you're reading it correctly.... I'm saying it for a reason >.>
-
shield rod + alucart sheild?

100% sure. :(
Shield Rod on right hand and Alucard Shield on left hand. And I tried the other way around.
I dunno... I'm playing this on my PSP, could be a bug or something? What exacly is suppose to happen when you trigger the combo? The trigger works, but nothing else changes, it just show the purple effect and the "?".
Maybe I have to collect all the shields in the game... who knows... =/

That effect happens if you use the false shield called "alucart shield". Its description should be 'resembles family heirloom' or shield or something. Dunno if it wasn't translated correctly or something in the psp copy, but its stats are very low. The real shield is somewhere in the inverted castle.
The real one will make a flash, then you'll be dealing massive damage to anything you touch with the shield, and every hit will also work like soul steal.

I'm using the Alucard Shield found in the Clock Tower at the normal castle. I didn't know there was a "real" one in the inverted castle. So, it only works with the one found in inverted castle, right?

Yep. You've been using the fake one. If you find the Alucard Shield somewhere in the inverted castle, that's the one that will work. :)

So it's explained! Thank you guys, this really was annoying the crap out of me! ;D
-
And now the Grim Reaper is laughing his ass off at you..

Its why i told oyu to read it carefully.

In my defence, I did. How the heck I was suppose to know that there was another shield? The one I hold is Alucard Shield (not Alucart).

You need glasses!! or if you have glasses, you need a new prescription!!
The shield you are holding in your inventory--the one found near the big clock in the regular castle--the one that makes a "?" when combined with the shield rod...IS THE ALUCART SHIELD.
There is not a typo in the PSP version that calls both shields by the same name.
-
yea, it should say Alucart shield, not 'd'. if it does then something's wrong.
-
Maybe he's playing an Antartican version or something., :D

It says shield that closely resembles the family heirloom... which means it's a cheap imitation. There is also an Alucart mail, and sword. They aren't very powerful, I guess it's kinda like Konami's way of playing a joke on the players. You don't get the armor or sword or shield until you reach the inverted castle.
-
If you equip all of them at once you get +30 luck boost and your status changes into alucart.

Your name changes to Alucart as well, at least in my PSP version...
