Title: Castlevania: Legos of Shadow
Post by: PFG9000 on November 03, 2012, 04:13:52 PM
Apparently one of the big toys this Christmas season is the Lego "Monster Fighters Vampyre Castle."  This has nothing to do with Castlevania, except that the castle looks like it could've been inspired by several of the Castlevania castle incarnations, right down to the architecturally-impossible Keep.  Just thought I'd post it here for anybody who finds this stuff interesting, or maybe who has young kids.  I'd be all about it if I wasn't 31 years old and not planning on fathering any kids in the near future.

Yeah, there are a small variety of "monster hunter"-themed LEGOs on the shelves now in spirit of the recent holiday.

I'm 26 though, and wouldn't know much about that.

I know some older fellas that still collect Legos. Boys play with Legos, men collect them.

And boys that play with Legos may some day grow up to become men that build this:

I did that. And this was over 15 years ago. There was even a secret entrance via a bookcase that moved. But in order to make Dracula's keep I had no choice but to build it a central pillar as the keep itself was just too large for self-support.

That was a b***h'n vid! And I had to laugh at the end when it showed us the Space Battleship Yamato. But my favorite Lego Model will always be this one:
