Title: Harmony of Despair Richter Question

In the PS3 version of HD, pressing triangle gives you information about the character and their gameplay. Upon highlighting the "Sub-Weapon Mastery" section, the little example video shows Richter throwing a harpoon. Said subweapon I thought was specific to Jonathan.

So my question is, can Richter actually obtain this weapon?

the Javelin is a common sub-weapon for the belmonts , it can be obtained in chapter 8 "normal"
