I'm currently stuck on this one for the guitar, it's been driving me insane cuz it's the last song in the game. I can get about 50% through the final solo but when you start getting the constant triplets it's insane. My bro and I are gonna try it using the lower frets for that part tomorrow but neither one of us has been able to pass it so far. Curious as to if anyone else has managed to make it through it. :)

Triplets can be a bitch.
Best advice I can give you is some counting tips:
In band, my teacher always told us to count in a three-syllable word. Some kids counted going "One-la-lee" although some kids counted "Straw-ber-ry"
Think of a waltz, I guess.

I guess video game guitars are a lot different than normal instruments (...I guess that was obvious though) because triplets are easy.
We always counted them as tri-ple-et.
What kind are they anyway?

Is that Green Grass, as in "Green Grass and High Tides" by The Outlaws? That song rocks! A very underrated classic rock tune.

Have you tried Hammer-ons and pull-offs?

I suppose they are just really fast triplet eighth notes. Should be easy if you can memorize the notes.

Nah they're 16th at least, I just couldn't space them any closer together and they come at you crazy fast repeatedly. :)

yeah theyre probably rock bands shitty lil notes for HOPOs damn near impossible to spot em. So you probably dont have to strum those anyway

I may have beaten it if I..
1. Owned a PS3 to play it on. (will be fixing this relatively soon)
2. Played in solo quick play. (see point 1)
3. Stopped playing downloaded music.
4. MY GUITAR WORKED PROPERLY!! (Jesus..I already returned it once. I would repair it myself but my kick drum snapped in two as well.)
Have you tried the Metallica Pack on Expert? I forget which song in particular is the total bitch to beat but they're all enjoyably difficult. It's unfortunate that my band mates lacking playing skills drag me down through those songs so I don't get to hear the full songs often enough...and hearing a guy sing Enter Sandman in Falsetto was the worst thing I've ever heard (I'm pretty sure of this).

I beat it on my first try at a friend's house. I came pretty damn close to failing a few times though.

Yes, it was on expert. Of course overdrive saved me on more than a few occasions. The two solos were absolutely ridiculous, so I'm pretty sure it was more luck than anything. Also, I used a GH2 guitar because the Rock Band guitar seems a bit tougher to use.

Wow dude my hat's off to ya, using a GH guitar on that song makes the solo's insane cuz you can't just finger them on the bottom frets cuz their are none on GH guitars.

I thought the opposite. The fret buttons at the bottom were way too small for me. Besides that, I just can't stand using teh Rock Band guitar. The strum bar feels wierd.
