LOL at first I thought it was Michael Weikath of Helloween (http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6207/6034962028_2812358da7_z.jpg).
He bears some ressemblance with Gabriel indeed!
If we're still wishing for a Castlevania movie (now that Paul Anderson and his stupid Sonia "Gotta-Fit-Milla-Jovivich-In-Somehow" idea have been canned), I would prefer to see Guillermo Del Toro directing and Garrett Hedlund as Simon Belmont.
Uugh. Just the thought of Paul Anderson having anything to do with anything sickens me.
He could definitely pull off a Gabriel. But What about Robert Carlyle? Gabe obviously had his face molded in Carlyle's likeness somewhat
I personally feel Tom Cruise plays a better Lestat than Stuart Townsend.A little off topic, but I totally agree. I found Townsend's performance incredibly cringe worthy and felt he really didn't mesh with the character at all.

And Carlyle's badass as Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold on OUAT! ;D Crazy how multi-dimensional his character is, and they teeter constantly with his dark side and light side. Just when you think he's about to go over the edge, he's pulled back to his humanity.
Anderson makes my skin crawl...in a bad way.
Maybe it's just that I've seen so many terrible video game to big screen transitions I just don't wanna see a series this beloved marred.
do u remember the guy they used to play Goku?? me either :-[ but i would hope somebody who will be a direct representation of Drac wont succumb to the same fate. wouldnt it be nicer rather to have sort of an Advent Children Movie instead? i think so anyway
I was thinking something closer to that Beowolf movie where they CG-ed up the actors. That way we can still have our favorite Carlyle!i didnt even consider it. that could work as well imo!

Now, if Guillermo del Toro directed and Tyler Bates adapted Yamane's soundtrack, with Legendary Pictures as the studio, we might have a worthy Castlevania film.

Tim Burton directing and producing. Come on, it's old horror campiness. Burton is one of the kings of camp. You are mad :P
