I just pre ordered the Fire Emblem 3DS bundle. Any games you guys recommend? It comes with Fire Emblem obviously and at some point I'll probably get OoT.
-
Super Mario 3D Land and New Super Mario Bros. 2 are a lotta fun, and I'm highly anticipating Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon.
Download titles like Mutant Mudds, Liberation Maiden, and Mighty Switch Force! are great.

Adventure time: hey Ice king! Why'd you steal our garbage!??!!?
Tales of the abyss
Pokemon X & Y versions
Super mario 3D land
Whatever the 3ds paper mario is called
New Super mario Bros. 2
Mirror of fate
Centipede: Infestation
Cave story
That's it for now.

I'll get the Mario Bros games at some point. The Adventure Time game sounds fun. I'll get Pokemon when it comes out. I plan on getting Tetris, CV Adventure and Link's Awakening at some point. Liberation Maiden looks interesting too.

As a Mario fan, I'm actually disappointed by the "Paper Mario: Sticker Star" game, for a number of reasons:
-They made the battling in the game hopelessly irrelevant. There is no reason to battle anymore except maybe for money. But you use money to buy stickers, which you use to battle more. See the problem? Also, battling no longer gives you experience points, and the game has no level-ups anymore. So enemy battles are merely obstacles on your way to get to the end of a stage or on your way to a boss battle.
-There are no new characters in the game, and there are no partners for you to team up with. Even the lukewarm Super Paper Mario for Wii did a better job, introducing a world of new characters and stories (the best PM game is still The Thousand-Year Door for Gamecube). The reason for the lack of any truly new characters (except for that sticker crown thing that follows you around) is outlined below.
-Shigeru Miyamoto should not be allowed to have a say on the plot or plot usage in these specific Mario games. He came into the office of the development team at Intelligent Systems and saw what they were doing with the PP:SS and basically said something along the lines of "Do we HAVE to have a plot?"
Paper Mario Vs. Shigeru Miyamoto (http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/11/29/paper-mario-vs-nintendos-shigeru-miyamoto)
Lesser Story, Change in Atmosphere - Miyamoto's input on Paper Mario: Sticker Star (http://nintendoeverything.com/107335/miyamoto-wanted-a-change-in-atmosphere-lesser-story-for-paper-mario-sticker-star/)
There is a lot of evidence that suggests that the latest Paper Mario was geared to be more of a Super Mario game, than something properly in the Paper Mario series, a series known for story elements and RPG romps. PP:SS seems more like a 3D platformer with some useless battling thrown in, and an absolutely throw-away plot.

As for what games I recommend:
-PushMo
-CrashMo (both of these are cheap at the eShop and are awesome entries)
-Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask
-Mario Tennis Open
-Kid Icarus: Uprising (AWESOME voice-acting and music holy crap!)
-Super Street Fighter IV (If you don't have the console versions)
-Tales of the Abyss
Retro-new games:
-3D Classics: Kirby's Adventure
(wish there were more, though Xevious is OK and I got Excitebike for free I think)

The only things I could add to this list that haven't been mentioned are (if you liked it on the N64) Zelda64 3DS and Resident Evil: Revelations.
Revelations was a nice compromise between the old-school and new-school games, blending the nail-biting tension and ammo-counting of the older games with scenes where it switches gears to "fucking shoot EVERYTHING that's moving" from the newer ones. The voice-acting is good, except for the comic-relief pair who are self-aware and their VA performance reflects that. If you have a standard 3DS, I'd highly recommend the Circle-pad Pro (CPP). If you don't want to use the CPP, I've seen people get away with using the gyroscope-motions to aim. However the addition of the CPP's analog makes moving and shooting substantially easier. The multiplayer to Revelations was terrific, and high-level players can handicap their level and gear to still play through with new players.

My girlfriend got me a 3DS and Snake Eater 3D for it. Now, I've played through Snake Eater probably 20 times, but playing it in 3D got me so lost in into it. I think it's worth the buy even if you've played Snake Eater.
-
I actually forgot all about Snake Eater. Looks like another one I'll add at some point.

I just pre ordered the Fire Emblem 3DS bundle.
If it's not a 3DS XL, start saving for an XL. ;) ;D

But I love Fire Emblem. Moreover, I know the XL is larger but all I know about it.

When i got my 3DS XL, i went back to my psp and when i saw the screen of the psp, i said to my self, wtf? It's too small.......you see, i have been used to play on the big screen of 3DS XL, so i couldn't go back to the other handheld consoles that i have. :P
-
yup. Imo the XL is the only way to go. I own both, tho.
-
When I get a 3ds, I'm gonna get the XL one.
Oh, May I give a suggestion? I am rather fond of the Scribblenauts series.
