It's business. Survival of the fittest and there is no sense to cry over it.
Besides, this Atari has almost nothing to do with the Atari, that have created Pong. It's former Infrogames (former GT Interactive). Atari in this case is just a brand name.

Do you realize how many times Atari has died and been resurrected? Hell, they're almost as bad as Dracula himself.
