So, I couldn't find a topic about the Michmede Castlevania fan-games, so I decided to create one.
They are, IMHO, the best Castlevania fan-games ever made.
Dracula's Shadow is the concept of Castlevania II improved, with new stages, music, story...
And Quest is a 2D platforming with stage to stage progression.
The music of these games includes some of my favourite remixes ever, and some new tunes that are, at least to me, in the same level of some of the best Castlevania themes.
They pay a lot of homage to the Game Boy soundtracks, also.
Also, there's an italian version of Dracula's Shadow for people who speaks italian, which was very useful back in the day, and a 3D experimental game, Quest Horror, which is no less than Quest made on 3D with polygons and NES-like textures, also including remixes of the Quest tunes.
To anyone who didn't play it, I really recommend them.
So, did any of you play them? And what are your thoughts about them?

I've played some of both. Aside from an intense desire to redraw some of the graphics in D's Shadow I enjoyed both of them very much.

Castlevania Quest I can take or leave, though the original first level theme is GODLY.
Dracula's Shadow was lots of fun, if brutal. It definitely scratched that "Simon's Quest but better" itch.
Sadly I can't get either game to work on my computer.

dracula's shadow was creative imo. havent gotten to the other yet though. Far as favorite fan made.... Castlevania Fighter wins in a landslide!!!(http://8.asset.soup.io/asset/1183/1304_537c.gif)

Good games, both of them. I can finish Castlevania Quest sometimes but it's a little 'hit & miss' due to the Infinity Sewerage stage being the most difficult area to get through unless you manage to keep your max whip upgrades as well as your triple shot and axe. The one thing that really annoys me about Castlevania quest is that when you lose your whip upgrades your weapons' attack strength is also lessened. That should be fixed in a future update. Dracula's Shadow I've yet to finish. I'd definitely need a walkthrough for it as it take what was confusing about the original Simon's quest and kicks it up a notch.

I would really love to give those games a try because it is rare to see finished CV games :(

Castlevania Fighter is great, yes!
I still couldn't finish it in all modes. I kinda suck at fighting games :P
The stage with the merman and the lava going up in an autoscroll area in so, so difficult. I spent days trying to get through it.
And yes! The 1st theme of Quest is awesome!

I've beaten Dracula's Shadow. Sadly Dracula is patetic, less patetic than in CV2 but still patetic.
