Title: System Shock 2 FINALLY rereleased for modern computers.

For those of us not lucky enough to catch it back in the day SS2 has been much like an often alluded to but unreachable legend. With obvious and strong influences on games as popular and diverse as Portal, Doom 3 and of course the BioShock series it's undeniably got a place in gaming history. After being voted one of the most requested games on GoG for literally years it's finally here.

It's $10 USD which isn't bad at all considering it's configured to run on modern systems, while in my sporadic checking of ebay over the years I never saw the original disc alone sell for less than $25. And if you wait for a sale (which is what I plan to do because I've got a lot of games on my backlog-plate) you'll probably be able to snag it for around $5 at some point.

about time, love the "shock" games, played SS1 and liked it, I'm kinda obsessed with Bioshock, can't wait to sink my teeth into SS2

I think I picked up my copy of SS2 disc for $3 from a Vincent St. Paul thrift shop a couple years ago...

Yeah this definitely surprised me! Cant wait to get my hands on it
