While i love Master Of Puppets, i'm not a big fan of metallica. I only like a few selected tracks from them.
-
Metallica has sooooo many classics but i feel as if i was let down... all for the money and none for the fans.

That album was like the soundtrack to my 16 to 18 teenage angst years. It had everything that my hormone-induced rage was asking for: anti-war, anti-religion, pounding drums and unrelenting guitar assaults.
These days, I can't really get into it as much. I like more campy stuff and, on the other end of the spectrum, bleaker metal. I'd definitely recommend Kvelertak, a pretty exciting band in the scene right now. Mixes black metal with hard rock. Really fun stuff.

As much as I love the good old 'tallica, I cannot help but be reminded of this every time I hear someone talking about the band.

Guess we should start talking more about their albuns then? I'll make sure to lift up some more videos here. Personally, i'm more into their three albuns which i consider the darkest ones by them: Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets(of course), and ...And Justice For All. You guys heard about "One", right? Ooohhh, i bet you did.... ;)

SPOILER: This song doesn't belong to the album mentioned here. xP

Good album, but I recently sold my 'tallica CDs to someone on this board. Copy I bought at Walmart when I was 14 or 15 (remember being surprised there were some F-bombs on there), so there was nostalgia there and kinda almost didn't wanna part with it, but I can listen anytime I want if I really want to.
Probably their most solid, consistent album. And it provided the main guitar riff for the first DOOM level. ;)

Master of Puppets is a brilliant album. I don't listen to metal much these days, but I still love those songs when I'm in the right mood. Like Slayer, this was the soundtrack to my life when I was 14-17ish. Orion's my favorite part. That tune definitely doesn't get the love it deserves.

I know how you feel, guys... :3
Aahhh, Orion.... It's one of my most favorite instrumental Metallica songs... I just love it!
It's quite of a song i could put in my phone every night before sleeping... <3
Btw, yeah it's purely nostalgic to come here once again with these songs... People said Metallica doesn't write good music nowadays... And i see why, after having checked their last compilation... It's quite boring.... :/
But nvm it, just because of it doesn't mean we must stop listening to Metallica, right? They still did made good music in their former times, so let's just not think of them now. Let's think of Metallica as the old, heavy band from the oldies(old times).
As i said before, and i'll say that again: Oldies are best!!!! <3
