I'm not completely sure where I'm heading with this title, but I guess I wanna bounce ideas if things about gaming were altered in some way. Maybe this topic will find its simpler form eventually.
I keep thinking: what if they made an RTS version of Heroes of Might and Magic? I don't mean they should discard the core of the series (which is: being the best fantasy turn-based series in the market, IMO), but try making a spinoff. They already have at least two different series in the Might & Magic franchise, so the idea is not completely crazy.
I'm not sure if the current development team should handle it. I'd like people responsible for the first three games, especially 3, be involved.
I'd dare think the game could be enjoyable and interesting. There's probably never going to be a Warcraft IV, which would probably be the biggest fantasy-themed RTS, seeing as how popular Warcraft is (and its popularity was elevated because of WoW). I'm sure there are others, but none big or famous enough for me to be familiar with.
This kind of game could also be an opportunity to appeal to the fans of the first three games; after HOMM3, guys like "Crag Hack the barbarian" or "Sandro the necromancer" were a thing of the past. Now it's about..some angel dynasty or whatever. I haven't played parts 5 or 6. I tried 5 and found it more immersive and familiar than IV, but still not quite something I can jump into. Anyways, this RTS could jump back to somewhere in the timeline between games I-III.

What if Giana Sisters came out before SMB..?
If SMB did eventually come out, it would probably avoid all the things Giana Sisters took from Mario. Mario might not even be linear platformer, where you just collect powerups and points. Maybe it would be more like Alex Kidd (without the near torture that is referred to as its difficulty level).

What if the collaboration with Sony and Nintendo went through and the Nintendo Playstation actually happened?
So many classic games on one system together, Sony and Nintendo would have been an unstoppable team and Sega would have bowed out of the console face sooner rather than later.

Or maybe Sega would have reacted accordingly and it would be still be in the console business. Maybe it would have partnered with Microsoft?
And by this time, something like the "Steam Box" might already have been launched years ago. To fill that third spot, since three seems to be magic console market number nowadays.

I wanted to pass the damage around with that, so that everyone would feel that deadly grip of awesomeness I felt.
So..yeah..that's a fan video. And it's only the opening and menu, no fake gameplay or anything. Killer Instinct 3 isn't in the works and I'm sure fans of the game know roughly why that is so.

I just found out they fired Chris Seavor late last year. Makes me wonder if there is any talent left at that company. With any luck the guy who did Grabbed by the Ghoulies is still around and will do a sequel called Grabbing the Boobies.
F'serial, I always wonder what it'd be like if Nintendo hadn't let go of Rare. Would we have a Conker sequel? What would Donkey Kong Racing have been like? Could Banjo-Threeie have existed and not chomped a big ball of poo like Nuts & Bolts? I would have loved to see all those as GameCube games, including Grabbed by the Ghoulies like it was initially designed for. Who knows? Maybe a brand new Battletoads could have been made or currently in the works? All the talent perhaps would still be around...

I pine for this, too. I wonder if we could have had Rondo of Blood in the States so much sooner? I can't see why it wouldn't have been a hit as a Super NES CD-ROM game.

Heroes RTS? Sound quite odd to me. Heroes is all about planning your moves carefully, strategically choosing which cities and technologies to develop and how to divide your armies between heroes. A Heroes RTS would require simplification of the entire complicated game system. Tank-rush? How about dragon-rush? LOL! ;D
I kinda liked Heroes V. It was based on Heroes 3 while still managing to be original. And the whole heroine manipulated and hero-turned darklord plot was cool. Not original... But cool.

What if...
the movie on which every character dies in Dragon Ball Z, were the actual ending to the anime? That would have been so, so awesome! I've always thought it! Let the series play until the android, then everyone dies and Trunks is left alone... a beautiful man, alone in a post apocalyptic hopeless world, lawning to the past and crying alone.
Tragic music enters, camera turns away, and it ends...

Although, knowing Dragon Ball Z, I bet if that was the plot, they would have make like 40 episodes about time traveling again and again.
I remember being so bored while the Cell saga, some battles were endless and lasted for like 10 episodes. Cell's part (when the tournament gets interrupted and until Cell dies) is definitively my less favourite part of the anime.

people always talk about z never db why? At first when I was akid I never respect DB but nowadays I'm way more fond of DB over Z, why? TO me better story like King piccolo, Red Ribbion, not to mention every character had the chance to shine. People always talk bad about krillin but I remember Piccolo saying that he had to watch out for him because he posed a threat. no saiyan crap, better fight scenes DB had more hand to hand fights than dbz or gt which were more energy focused.

Thanks God that they dubbed from the JP version instead of the US one here in Brazil, I like much more the original soundtrack than the US one (dont take me bad, they all are good music, but the original one mix better with the anime IMO). Also I've started seeing DB with 4 years, years later they launched DBZ here.

The first time I watched Dragon Ball Z was in portuguese, in a channel called Bandeirantes that I had back then on my local cable company.

Bandeirantes only buyed episodes until Cell's Saga, Majin Buu's Saga have aired in Globo. But I've seen them all in Cartoon Network first.

And the funny thing is that I could understand what they were saying, although I didn't know portuguese. By the time we reached Cell's saga I could understand almost everything they talked.

Getting back on topic, what if SEGA didn't pull half the team working on Sonic '06 away to make Sonic and the Secret Rings and didn't rush the former game too? Sure, there are many things that can still go wrong even if it was properly finished. But hey, at least the hit won't be as hard. Of course, this could also mean that Unleashed's daytime levels and Generations' Modern Sonic levels could've turned out...differently.

I liked Secret Rings, but something about Sonic's soul was kind of missing.
I liked Black Knight but it was too short.
I loved Unleashed (yeah, I'm on the minority here).
I really liked Generations and both Episodes of Sonic 4.
I hated Sonic for PS3.
