I got a refurbished 60gb PS3 and it works perfectly. What site is it?
I got mine from Gamestop and have had no problems whatsoever with it. I've bought used/refurbished systems quite a few times and they've lasted for years. If it's a rather big-name or reliable source, I think it's safe to say you can pick it up and have no problems.
Besides, 60gb is the way to go for PS3 if you want to play all your PS2/PSX games.

Thanks for the help. I guess I will get it then. Lastly, it is worth getting this for 467 or getting a 80 gb one with 5 free BD disc for 500?

Well, the only reason I got mine was because it was $430 but after my employee discount, store credit and a gift card I only ended up paying $130 out of pocket. But after playing my PS3 a bit, I would have gladly put down the original used price.
The most likely reason it's refurbished is because there was some problems with the first couple of batches of PS3s, primarily 60gbs. But after they've been refurbished, they worked perfectly.
Another reason it could be refurbished is that it's just a used system that it's original owner didn't appreciate as much. At Gamestop, it's policy that whenever we get a traded in PS3, we have to ship it off to our warehouse as defective even if it's not, just so it can have its memory cleared, same with PSP Memory cards and 360 Hard drives.
So it could be a defective system that was fixed, or simply a used system with its memory cleared. I'd say go for it.

Obviously getting a brand new 80gb with 5 free movies for 500 is better than a refurb for 467.

Depends. The five free movies are in a list of 5 categories with three movies per list and you have to choose from said list.
If you don't like the movies that're there, or you're not very much into movies, and you want to be guaranteed to play ALL your PS2 and PS1 games, the refurbed 60gb may be better.

Tax is free and shipping was 2 dollarz from that online site, making it 472 if I recall. I think I messed up and it was offered on overstock.com for 469.99 and not 467 as I stated before.

no it's not the 80 gigabyte is only like 70% backwards compatible and it uses an emulator (cheap way for sony to keep the price down) which can cause all sorts of random problems with the older games your emulating and is the reason why a good chunk just flatout don't work. If your getting one get the 60 gig. it has all the hardware necessary to run the older games and doesn't rely on software to play them, so thier's no issues with any of the games and all of the older ones work.
