Title: Question about PSP output cable
Post by: Cold Windy Night on September 17, 2007, 08:38:39 PM
I finally got my PSP hooked up to my TV (got the wrong

cable at first) but the image is not taking up the whole

screen when I play the game which came with the silver psp

(Daxter).  I tryed both the 16:9 and 4:3 settings but that

does not help.  Is it only like this with certain games or

is that cable a rip-off ? thanks

Are you getting black bars at the top/bottom, or are you getting bars on the left and right?  What kind of TV do you have (standard TV or High-definition TV)?

The PSP resolution, as far as I know, is too wide to fit perfectly on a regular television, so for it to fit in one, you might get bars on the top and bottom all the time.

If your TV has a zoom function, you might wanna use that.

I have huge black bars on all sides on my High-definition

TV.  Do you have the same cable and only have bars on the

top and bottom?  Oh, I have no zoom function. :-\

I can't find the PSP cable anywhere in my town, and even so, I won't be getting the new PSP until the black or white versions come out.  But I'll definitely look into this more once I've picked up my new PSP.
