Hello everyone!
At the request of some forum goers, I have been asked to make some of my soundtrack music available.
I have decided to make a reverbnation page for the purpose of posting my video game music. I have posted songs that I composed that were featured in the game, Castlevania The Lecarde Chronicles, by Mig Perez. I have also posted songs that have been created for the next game that the two of us are working on.
There is a rendition of "Bloody Tears" on the page, the rest is all original work. All of these songs are available for download.
I have much more, and will post from time to time!

I have had the song "Endless Catacombs" stuck in my head for the past three days. I liked the song so much I ended up going back to the prison section of the basement THREE TIMES after I beat the boss to listen to it again.
I am also downloading your other songs as well. Fantastic pieces all of them.
Again, thank you for posting them. You are a fantastic composer and I hope to hear more of your work in the future.

Endless Catacombs did nothing for me.
But Danube was catchy. And it did what Castlevania music was meant to do: groove. Even if the one part near the end seemed out of place, it was still closer to CV music.
Oh and Enthu's Theme was good, but only as an intro music. I personally wouldn't include it anywhere except the prologue of a game, but that's just me. But as far as prologuesque music goes, it was good. Nice melody.

Thanks dude. I try to do a balance of grooves and more atmospherical, dark music that builds. Some of my favorite CV music moments are like that, a good example would be the music that plays in CV4 when you climb the waterfall out of the cavern. That's the style Endless Catamcombs goes for.
I really dig the groovey jazzy pieces too, but they only can work in certain situations. I do have a lot of new stuff like that in the works though!

Some of them sound a bit new age to me (Danube river & Bloody tears). Endless Catacombs is very introspective. I think it is more a theme for a Survival/Horror game.
The nocturne of Nosferatu... well, that kind of music always have been beyond my understanding and taste, but that's just me.
My favorite was Danube River.

I had never thought of those two songs as new age. Bloody tears was mostly a remake, although i did add several new melodies to it. Danube was meant to be more jazzy. It's all electronic, so in that way you could call them new age.
Catacombs is definitely meant to have a horror sound. It's arrangement is perhaps different for a castlevania game, but I always try to put my own twist on things and bring something new to the table.
More and more of my new music is symphonic. I listen to a lot of classical music and film soundtracks. I prefer that style over the upbeat rock sound some CV games have. I'm not going for just ambience, I always try to have a strong melody in each piece. Nocturne of Nosferatu is meant to be a theme melody for the vampire antagonist. This theme would show up in different ways when the vampire is present.

Endless Catacombs in my opinion sounded like a slowly building march of an undead army.
It started slow. With a single instrument playing a repeating note. As it builds, more and more undead began to walk to the beat of the piece. By its end, an unstoppable parade of skeletons and zombies would be marching in rhythm, ready to destroy all that would dare interrupt their sleep.
I also like how "In The Wake" fit the Hunting Lodge level from the game. It was a mournful piece, like it was reminiscing about a long past time of grandeur.
I love music in games, and I certainly loved your contribution to the game. ;D

I LOVE that upbeat rock/metal sound of the CV games. That music always make me feel like a badass ;D.

That kind of music seems really out of place to me in a gothic game that usually takes place in a dark castle 100's of years ago. It's always good work, but that's just not my taste at all. And I'm a guitarist/singer of a rock band, so it's not that I'm not into that. I just don't like it for Castlevania.
Rocking and feeling like a bad ass is a good thing, but not when it compromises what could have been an unforgettable eerie moment. I have made a conscious decision to keep my electric guitar out of the equation when I record this stuff.
If I were making music for a Castlevania game that took place in modern times, I might opt for some rock pieces though.

As i say , to make arrangement of songs that already exist it's a good thing for a start ...
To create new songs with great quality is something even greater .
