Serio said he wanted to incorporate them into his homebrew (?).
And I still do. Been waiting for the rest of the frames. :P

New run anim.  4 less frames.  Better?  Worse?

i think the old run is better cept that it seems to have a double frame or soemthing that seems like she sort of "stops" in a frame longer than the rest.

The new run looks more dynamic to me. Dunno if I like the "chopper" ponytail that much though. :P

But I'll probably use both since I have both walk and run options like sotn Richter.

Yeah, I preferred her hair in the old run.

These are all beautiful, though.  I'd be ecstatic if the new official games had sprites this nice.

It reminds me of Terra from FF6. But it's pretty cool

Sofia Renard is an awesome name and she looks amazing! Check out that whip animation, that's some badass shit. The whip's just a little tiny though :P

Speaking of animations; Serio, which do you still need?  I have some other regular attacks in mind (air and crouch) and possibly a crouching injured and superjump.

If i can use the stop from walk as backdash, i could still use:

-casual walking anim (though this one's not required, i can use a slower running anim for walking too)
-air injured that flows into the falling sprites
-crouch injured and superjump like you said
-death (your choice here, either the burst into blood richter style or fall on the ground simon style, or even something like 3dvanias, with a fall to her kness, then face first)
-slide, but i can use the crouch kick for that if needed
-hold up animation
-perhaps a subweapon throw, both ground and air version unless you don't want her to use subweapons (but then what?)
-maybe have an air version of the fire breath and whip, i can't use the frames she has now for that since she starts and ends them from stance and transits into that
-diagonal/down air mirage whip for more cool points like chronicles Simon? :P
-she lacks the transition from crouch back into stance (hair mostly, but i guess i can do that myself by pasting her crouch hair on the transition frames. :P)
-a winpose (perhaps something with her turning her back to the screen with one hand going on the hip while looking at the enemy, just an idea)
-any kind of special attacks (think of sotn richter's whip dash or alucard's spells for example, stuff you can do with button combinations, or hugh's special moves in his battle in cotm) you'd feel she could have to pimp her up so that she won't be so bare bones to use.

Also if you could, could you fix the standing punch so that the frames actually flow one into another instead of having her legs instantly jump to that position? :P

Backdash/stop = same anim, yes.

Here's how she'll function; two attack buttons, punch and kick.

Alter-Ego attack ...

(https://castlevaniadungeon.net/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fsmg.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fv176%2FSonic_Reaper%2Fth_alterego.gif&hash=1a2df83fe2374b9c5487825fd166a1affb74242a)

Don't have Sofia actually doing the attack though ... it'll work exactly like Maria's attack from Rondo.

Nice work, what software do you use?

I switch between paint shop pro and animation shop.  I even use MS paint to move limbs around too (though never to actually edit any frames).

Honestly the alter ego designs looks better than the normal sprites. Though, both designs seem rather plain.

I agree. That whip animation is awesome.  Make the others look that natural and you've got a realistic fighter thar.

The ducking and run need work, but the falling looks great too.
