[CV:HoD] Intro Floor Clip (Moon Juste glitch expansion) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6_HRV3avQE#)
I saw this posted on Reddit, so I thought I'd share it here. I'd honestly like to try this glitch out just to see what else could be done with this glitch.
-
The heck?
-
Oh. Really glitchy glitch.
Anyway, please post a video if you discovered anything new using that glitch.
-
This one reminds me the glitch from DoS, with the souls, that can also mess up with your game.
-
Im blind for not noticing that before or Shiroi became a moderator today? lol
Also its interesting that Maxim randomly dies, maybe it happens because he reachs the limits of he map?
Other than that, someone else other than me (yeah, I never found anyone that knows this, maybe I love this game too much to notice this little detail) noticed that there is a room in the entrance area, that if you enter from the left spawns one more candle than entering be the right?
-
Hey guys!
This is my video, and I saw some traffic from here so I thought I'd come see if there were any questions I could answer.
We're not entirely sure why Maxim dies, because any other time he reaches the limit of a map, the game just freezes. It could be that we just happened to hit some kind of oddly specific memory address that causes the game to think we're dead.
-
Hey Kain! Welcome to the CV Dungeon, it's great to see you here. Thanks for dropping by. It took Maxim a few seconds to die after he drops down the pit, too...weird :o
-
Yeah, the fact that his death is delayed is what makes us think we just fell into a memory address we shouldn't have. Once he falls off the boundaries of the map, he starts overwriting a bunch of data, so chances are we just hit something that makes the game think "Oh, you should be dead now"
Thanks for the welcome :)
-
Welcome Kain, good to see you here, its good to see a explanation and even better when they are so detailed like yours. :P
-
He may be colliding against an enemy that deals too much damage, or a spike or something?
Also, yes, welcome to the Castlevania Dungeon. :D

I thought about that at first, but discarded it because the lifebar doesnt even moves.
