Z Kagura really improved the series gameplay, visuals, animations, blood and gore, upgrades, and lots of other things.
People that were left hungry after playing action games like Bayonetta and Lollipop Chainsaw will definitely find a lot more content to
enjoy in Onechanbara Z Kagura. The gameplay systems are very different, though Z Kagura really has great things
that stand out like the tag team system, combo system, skills/abilities, co-op (though I think BSS did the co-op better) and more.

I've played Onechanbara on Wii, its very nice and this game deserves more attention. Aya and Saki should appear since they are the main characters from the franchise anyway.

I love Onechanbara, it's one of those games that nailed it with me because I am so, so fangirl. I wish they include more fanservice on this one :)

Tried playing the one 360 game that came out in the States and, uh...got kinda bored. :p SUDA51 games are about the only hack'n'slashers I have patience for these days, because he's got the mondo bizarro content to back it up (and the gameplay's fun besides). Can't wait to get Killer Is Dead in my hands.

It didn't seem to me from the huge amount of nudity I've seen in High School DxD first season (which is currently airing its second season, with even more nudity... which is great).

Im downloading it ever to watch, but only have watched some minutes from the first episode season 2 for now (I have free time and at the same time dont have :S ). It seems to be a exception and I was talking more about games and H-content.

I can make you a list of anime with lots of nudity if you want, the latest ones being so, so well done and so beautiful in terms of backgrounds, character designs and anime realistic bodies, if you know what I mean ;)
About current state of H-games, I really don't know. It's been a while since the last one (Refrain Blue and Kana Little Sister comes to mind right now, some years ago).

New PS3 gameplay videos!! I'm thinking of reserving it, but I'm so not used to importing (unless it's a Japan PSN code),
and deliveries are such a pain to wait for and be present on arrival. Though who knows maybe this could get localized if
people let D3 Publisher know there's a demand for it. The fanbase may not be Hatsune Miku sized, but still a cult following could
generate decent sales numbers (even Neptunia sold satisfactory here, so this should sell more in the west.)

Looks really stylish and unique!! ;D She's completely better than Annna from Bikini Samurai Squad/Slayers/Vortex.
Aya and Saki are most likely still DLC, but I think I have enough Japan PSN money left over to get them too, increasing the playables to 5. :)

D3 Publisher America is probably paranoid due to BSS/BZS sales in the west, but Z Kagura is clearly levels above the previous ones in the series, including the controls and gameplay depth as well. Maybe they are waiting for fans to request this before considering localizing it.

They should at least release it digitally, there is low risk in that compared to physical manufacturing/packaging/distribution. The digital market is getting better and making more sales for publishers without having to spend as much in the retail market, especially for PSN Store which is internationally popular. And Japanese games naturally sell more on PS3 than other consoles. They chose Xbox360
back then because it's easier to program for, but considering they were able to port this to PS3, this version is definitely more
charismatic among the PS3 crowd since Japanese gaming is more popular on Japanese console than it is on a western console.
I mean it's not like D3 has much else heavy hitters to localize these days. And it's not like they have any competition.
DmC has flopped. Bayonetta abandoned the Sony crowd for Nintendo. Metal Gear Rising is old news. and Lollipop Chainsaw was too short and simplistic. ;D

These games are so dumb.
There's a guy on another board I go to who legit thinks the first PS2 game is one of the greatest video games ever created. As in, compared to other games on story and gameplay mechanics and not just its ability to throw tits at you.

That means you will like this one ;D since unlike its predecessors, it isn't all looks. Z Kagura rebuilt its action gameplay from scratch
with better gameplay, better graphics, and better action mechanics (and before you criticize the QTE events, remember that the most popular franchises used QTEs, including God of War, Shenmue, Bayonetta, Lollipop Chainsaw, etc.)
Comparing BSS/Vortex to Z Kagura gameplay is like night and day.

but every X360 importer that played it agree that this action game rivals the best out there, while offering more unique playable character variety as well. Ninja Gaiden fans may demand more from the a.i., but DMC fans should totally feel at home with this gameplay. Plus there are rewarding timing based combos that require more skill than the average gamer.
The only weak point of this is that its splitscreen co-op support is not as good as BSS, but other than that, this is a huge step forward for the series. And graphics fanatics should appreciate this looks 2 times better than BSS. You can't generate these kind of graphics on PS2. And this has more blood, gore and enemy count than most games out there, making the attacks feel more powerful and sharp, with plenty of targets to slaughter to show off your expanding arsenal. ;D
Overall, Onechanbara Z Kagura should deserve more respect from the action crowd. An action game can be awesome and sexy at the sametime.
And people that play action games for story play them for the wrong reason, since the NES days action games were always about the gameplay and action itself, not the drama inbetween the action. Onechanbara Z Kagura has a story, but people are really too dependant and critical on storytelling these days, which really does nothing for replay value and overall gameplay entertainment.
Z Kagura story isn't really meant to take seriously anyway, a action game can be fun without needing some dramatic story. At the end of the day, story isn't going to get people to keep playing something.

Someone said that the PS3 version has updated models (I did notice a slight improvement from the screens and videos they released, of course not a huge difference but an improvement.)
