Finally, after a brief sojourn into XBoX Live territory, the re-version has arrived on the system it originated on. 14 bucks, or 12.59 euros depending where you are.

Have been playing this since I got it, and thankfully so far, no problems with my 2.33 dual core despite it supposedly wanting 2.8 . I spent loads of time with the original, and, like Binding Of Isaac, FTL and Rogue Legacy, this is one of those 'one more game' games that keeps you coming back.

This game seems to delight in making me die. Up to 90 deaths so far, and have only reached the Jungle (2nd) stage. Damn it's hard - harder than I remember the original Spelunky to be.

I have decided Spelunky does not like me. In all probability, it hates me. Nevertheless, I still feel compelled to keep raiding the tombs and killing shopkeepers, those hoarding SOB's. I just wish there was an online co-op mode... i really want to get beyond the Jungle Caves but that's proving at the moment to be an exercise in futility. Just gotta keep on Spelunkying.
