"Hey guyz, lez maek Cristopha and Treva eggsist at da same tiem, et be like nerd porn, lulz!!"
...I hate you...
Ok, maybe I wouldn't go that far, but still, THE GAME HAS A STRONG ENOUGH STORY!!  JUST FOLLOW THE TIMELINE, IS IT THAT HARD!!  HELL, YOU COULD HAVE EVEN HAD DIFFERENT TIME PERIODS IN THE MOVIE, JUST TO GET THOSE BELMONTS!!
...uggghhh...what are they THINKING?!

Ugh...

It's like a really bad fanfic gone horribly wrong.

Maybe Christopher's not a Belmont.... :-\

*didn't read the entire script so bear with me here*

It could be a brother or something.

For the movies sake, I hope the script writer forgot that a Christopher existed in the games (or a graphic novel, for that matter), and that he's only some other relative...

I've already pretty much given up on getting a decent film at this point, I'm just gonna keep playing the awesome games.  :)

I could give a rat's ass if the movie has anything to do with the actual storyline, as long as it's good and it has a Belmont fighting Dracula with a whip in a castle.  Beyond those four elements, it doesn't matter to me what they do with the storyline if taking some major liberties allows them to make a good movie.

And if the movie is shit, which it most likely will be, I still could care less how faithful it is.  In other words, I just want the movie to be good and to have the bare minimum elements of Castlevania.

You guys are dumb.  Why is christopher Belmont from the games the only Belmont ever to be allowed the name Christopher?  Seriously.... my uncle and brother are both named Billy, what a plot hole.

And anyway, where did you get this?

HOLY CRAP.  I just read the whole thing and it fits perfectly with the games.  Right timeline, reference to LoI, and Leon.  And it sounds awesome.  Please read it before you judge it.

It doesn't seem like there is much action at all.

What is bartley doing in Trevor's times? And on that note, why is she a succubus and her name's still mistranslated? AND WHERE THE HELL IS GRANT

Akbar made me think of star wars. IT'S A TRAP!

:o

What is bartley doing in Trevor's times?

Was she not ressurected in Bloodlines, in which case she has to have lived before Bloodlines (the specific time has never been specified) so as long as she exists before Bloodlines (it's based in 1917 (or around there) and therefore long after Trevor's time) so why couldn't she have lived at the time this movie is set in? But I agree with the translation issue - surely they could amend their mistake by now, through maybe they want to remain consistent with the character that already exists, mistranslation and all.

I haven't really read enough to judge, but as PFG said, I don't really mind timeline issues and fitting in with the story so long as it features the basic Castlevania elements, on the condition that the movie doesn't actually enter the timeline if it has too many conflicting areas.

She was born in 1560. Trevor's game was set in 1476.

Ah, well then... For a Castlevania fan I wish I knew a bit more about the characters...

Far as I know, Bartley is based OFF of Bathory but not necessarily IS Bathory.

That's okay.

Bartley is to Bathory just as Danasty to Danesti, Belnades to Fernandez, Lecarde to Ricardo, Sypha to Sophia, Alcarde to Alucard, Renard to Lanett/Larned, Belmont to Belmondo etc.

Still not as bad as Ralph to Trevor, Leviathan to Pazuzu, Granfalon to Legion and such, at least the previous ones tried to keep the original name but failed at engrish and research of the source material, unlike here where they changed the entire meaning of the name.

If they name the new cv girl as "Shanoa" she'll join the first list too. :o

Well, even though a lot of it was cut out, it appears better than Anderson's script. Who knows though?

Sypha to Sophia

Sophia is spelled ソフィア in Japanese.  Sypha's name is サイファ, the same spelling as the word "cipher."

You're right about the others, though.

Pardon my ignorance, but who's directing this again? Sylvain White or something?

Maybe this movie will be a parody of Van Helsing like Meet the Spartans was to 300. Simon will have a dance-off with Dracula at the end. Then he will say "You got Served". But seriously, folks. Unless this movie is R-rated, gothic, dark, etc., it's going to suck. Remember, this is Castlevania, not Indiana Jones...

I could only hope it is more like Indiana Jones,so at the end Simon can throw Dracula out a window and say "No Ticket" !

Yep, the mastermind behind "Stomp the Yard."

Still, at least he's versatile.
