At first I was like, "She looks stupid."

Then I was like, "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!"

So, what does it do exactly? Is it something you have in a car? Sounds like it could be distracting. Or is it more like a high tech Lay-Z-Boy?

I would like to call it a futuristic sexy wheelchair that is great for shopping and museum tours.

At first I was like "Is she riding a hi-tech trash can?"

But then I was like "hmmm more like a robotic vacuum-cleaner".

Oh so it's like a wheelchair? Cool, always glad to see advances in tech that can help the disabled lead their lives better.

Japan has a lot of great inventions to help their aging population as well as the disabled.

Here's a more friendly site for our non-Japanese members:
http://world.honda.com/UNI-CUB/ (http://world.honda.com/UNI-CUB/)

Apparently, the UNI-CUB isn't just targeting the elderly or the handicapped. It's also supposed to act as a smart transportation choice for our busy young men and women.

A question, though. How do people expect to hold their balance on those chairs? Actually, never mind that -- how do they manage not to feel embarrassed riding an odd penguin-shaped go-kart?

My point exactly:
At first I was like "Is she riding a hi-tech trash can?"

But then I was like "hmmm more like a robotic vacuum-cleaner".
Hehe.

Oh, and by the way. There's a very similar invention that was made, years ago, by those folks we call "Homo Erectus". Ever heard of it? It's called walking.  ;D

For those of us that can walk, yeah we really don't need it. However I can see it being useful for those whom have trouble walking, those who can't walk very far and those who are wheelchair bound.

Might also be good in an office. You wouldn't have to scoot the chair back, stand up, go to where you need to go, then get back, sit down, scoot the chair back in and start working. Also you could go straight from your desk to a conference or meeting, although that's what conference calls are for.

Well, that is also one use for that chair.
