Ok. So i know lords of shadow is a aleternate time line in the series BUT i am a tad confused here. 2 questions. 1. Why is Gabriel dracula? It was never explained in the first game! Unless his "good side" already ascended and left his darker half on earth to rein as dracula since all the other lords of shadow are dead. 2. How can thsre be a los 2 if alucard and simon killed "dracula" in this game? I thought ths game took place between the los and los 2. Now I am currently on act III and i am guessing Trevor is trying to kill dracula...again. no spoilers please but if you guys could help explain this to me it would be much appre. :D

If you pay very close attention and understand the old time line, you will know exactly what is going on. It was by prophecy that Gabriel fell into darkness by becoming Dracula. When on his quest to reclaim the pieces of the god mask, he acquired the powers of the dark lords. The Dark Gauntlet - This gauntlet actually grants the Power of Dominance (DoS/AOS). After being turned by Laura in the DLC (Resurrection), thus drinking the blood of the innocent and then enters the Shadow Plane to hunt down the Forgotten One. After a fierce battle, Gabriel steals his power with the dark gauntlet, thus becoming the Prince of Darkness and then slaughters the creature instantly.
As for MoF - Dracula isn't killed off; if you understand in the old time line he raises every 100 years. But this is yet to be explained in the storyline.

Well Carmila DID say "You will be one of us eventually", (or something like that) so...

Gabriel's fall to darkness and eventual turning into Dracula was explained throughout the course of the first LoS, with his questioning of his faith and whatnot. His actual becoming of a vampire and the Prince of Darkness was explained in the two DLC chapters. Dracula's defeat at the hands of Simon and Alucard, you already saw in Acts I and II. He was defeated, but he is revived later, just like the Dracula in the original timeline. As Gabriel and Zobek alluded to in the epilogue to the first game, he is cursed with immortality. He can't die.
Trevor's part of the story, as explained the moment it starts, takes place 30 years before Simon and Alucard's.

Since when does the Dark Gauntlet give is wearer the Power of Dominance? There is nothing that indicates that. The power of Dominance is a plot device from the old timeline to explain how Soma is able to gain powers from absorbing the souls of his enemies.
The LoS saga is a completely separate timeline that has nothing to do with the old one aside from some name drops.

I guess you can/may think that coz multiple times during the game Gabriel use it to absorb their enemies power and use it agains them (Carmilla, Necromancer are good examples) Or absorb it, keep it for him self, use it and dominate it, like he did with the Forgotten One.

The Dark Gauntlet allowed Zobek to control Gabriel because of its hellish nature, but it doesn't necessarily grant Gabriel dominance. There's a couple visual hints in the game that it can absorb power (Dracolich, Forgotten One) but whether this is the same thing as "dominance" as we know it is debatable.
Also, if it was the Dark Gauntlet that absorbed the power of the Forgotten One, then Gabriel would lose that power when he takes it off, which he clearly doesn't as we don't see him wearing it as Dracula.

Maybe the power of the dark gaunlet was also asimilated by Gabriel and the And the RedGlowing Gaunlet we can see when he uses the Blood Whip is a manifestation of it.

I think it's a decent theory with the Dark Gauntlet holding this universe's version of the Power of Dominance... I guess in a sense it works like the original PoD, but grants the user that power permanently?
