So is this a thing? Yo no hablo espanol. I've assumed that the next series they're gonna do is Contra though, I'm not a big fan of Contra or Silent Hill so doesn't effect me much either way lol.
-
Pretty much the same thing he said about being interested in doing a Contra reboot. Despite my desire to never see Cox and MS ever get their hands on Contra, they may be able to do something interesting with SH.
-
Hey, The LoS series was really well written, Silent Hill may very well be the right direction for them.

I really hope he doesn't get his filthy hands on Contra, or we'll end up with Bill Rizer turning into Red Falcon at the end, Lance Beam being his long lost son, Galuga Islands being only a scroll reference and the Spread Gun turning into gun that fires water.
That or, Woe be me, a Call of Duty look alike.

If I were Konami would give MS the SH series, all MS are fan of the gothic and dark. Although it sounds stronger for SH series Kojima ... A New Collaboration?
Only imagine: MS + Silend Hill + Oculus Rift = :o

Creepy! I hope they up the ante on the creepy shock factor.

I'm sorry, but it probably won't happen:
"No es algo que me interese particularmente, soy más un jugador de la vieja escuela."

Money talks, others listen ... will come sooner or later.
-
No, thanks. They've already crapped all over one of my favorite series.

I wouldn't quite put it in those terms... But eh, I'd rather see a Japanese studio take a shot at Silent Hill.
Kojima kept cock teasing about using the Fox Engine for a new SH, but he's never going to do anything that isn't Metal Gear as long as he lives. I'd say give the next SH to the vets of the original games still in Konami and have them team up with Grasshopper. (This will never happen, but let a man dream.)
I actually quite liked Ahasverus's suggestion of MS rebooting Sunset Riders.

As long as I could still wear a giant purple sombrero and poncho I would be SO down for a Sunset Riders reboot.

Sunset Riders Mmm, I spent a lot of money and time on the machines. It was very funny, the problem was that if you wanted to do with AAA Sunset Riders not you would serve a 2D and 3D is done .. "Call of Juarez". He did not remember how many and how good Konami has IP:
TwinBee
Silent Hill
Teenage Mutant Ninja
Gradius
Sunset Riders
Road Fighter (ohhh)
Track & Field
Life Force (Salamander) (one of my favorites in my childhood)
Contra / Probotector (another of my top 5 of my childhood)
Skate or Die! (tens of hours ..)
Parodius!
Axelay (the best of his generation)
Castlevania
Lethal Enforces (a lot of money ..)
Blades of Steel (Ice Hokey discovered)
-
I would like to see Twin Bee, Gradius, and all the scrolling shooters (I ♥ Life Force!) remade on the next gen home consoles and not just be relegated to tablets/smart phones.

Agreed. I'd rather see MS do their own thing before being even remotely considered to work on another longtime classic IP title.

Silent Hill is screwed up enough without Kojima's input. I'd love the series to go back to it's creators.

I don't think he wants to work on it himself. If anything, it'd probably be something like LoS where he says "I'm okay with this" and puts the KojiPro logo on it, and lends the Fox Engine to whoever works on it.
I know Masahiro Ito expressed interest in it, at least.

Let me clarify then. I don't want anyone directly associated with Kojima that MAY have inherited his fucked up sense of story telling within a half mile of the building(s) where a Silent Hill reboot is worked on.

From what I heard, many of the original Team Silent members are still scattered around in Konami (those who didn't leave anyway). Some may even be locked in IGA's closet.
This is Konami though. If anything new at all ever happens at Konami nowadays, it's because Kojima stepped in and said "Do it, or else we'll do to you what we did to Hudson." And then the employee being addressed wakes up in the morning with a decapitated Master Higgins in his bed.
