I don't think each area takes hours to reach... but a lot of things he mentioned are valid.

I love 2d side scrollers in Castlevania.

Well, I personally love them. 2-D Sid Scrollers are my favorite games...I'll play them over just about any newer 3D game and I absolutely love that sense of exploration. Still as far as the Metroidvania type goes, I don't think anything can beat Super Metroid

I gotta agree, as much as I like Samus, I never liked her games all that much.

Samus is awsome, but Castlevania is better.
I liked the 3D castlevanias but the 2D had a certain feel to them that I liked.

I liked the Ayami Kojima art over the crap anime art.

they both can't have better story than the other, thats a paradox.

or rather, contradiction.

Name any 2D Castlevania .

Circle of the moon, Harmony of Dissonance, Dawn of Sorrow, And Portrait of Ruin are not better than Super Metroid. I'd Say Symphony of the Night and Aria of Sorrow are like one step below Super Metroid, Still amazing games, I just don't think they're as good. But, thats just my opinion.

I love the 2D side scrolling CastleVania games. I'm a big fan of the older games. Like CV1, 2, 3 and 4. I'd like to see a new game with Stage by stage, something like CVIII, but with todays DS graphics. But with new spries. I don't really like that they use the 1993 Chi no Rondo sprites even today... It's pretty amazing that they use sprites made 15 years ago... Why don't Square-enix reuse thier sprites from Final Fantasy VI xD But anyway... I know why they re used most of the sprites in DoS, that was couse a tight deadline, so they just too the enemys fron SotN couse they did'nt have time to make new ones... I really hope they make new, forexapmle skeleton sprites... I've seen those in the games for a bit too long now. I am kinda spriter so I know that it can take time making a sprite sheet, and for a whole game with 100th of sprites that will take sometime. I hope they make alot of new sprites and enemys and even new bosses in the next CV game.

and by the way... CastleVania is better than Metroid  ;)

Some will hate me for this, but constraints and lack of resources for sprites is what pushes me to think the PSP would be a good base for handheld CV's. Now, I have a DS and I think DoS and PoR are fair entries, but seeing fifteen year old or more sprites is just too much.

I don't like CastleVania in 3D... And the graphics in Dracula X Chronicles... Eww is what I say...

I want to see a 2D CastleVania for Wii, that would be cool :)
But one new one with new stuff for DS would't be worng.

I wanna see a 3d. I just want it to be better than the ones that preceded it. Spend more time on it. such and such.

I want to see another 3D Castlevania like 64 was. I think that seemed like a better transition to 3D than the PS2 games were. It had all the platforming elements that the originals had (especially in the castle wall and clock tower levels), plus it had more story elements like the Metroidvania style games had.

So I think if they were to work with that as sort of a basis for a new 3D CV it would be more true to the series and a more successful 3D game in my personal opinion(not that I'm saying I didn't like LoI and CoD, I enjoyed them a lot).

Create a new gameplay concept.
Or innovation.

but.. when something good happens, we want to hold on to it as long as we can, just like IGA is doing. hmph.. :-\

I like Castlevania more than Metroid. Alone the story is better according to my opinion and always binds me against.

No metroidvanias have yet to match the greatness of super metroid.

I personally like the classic games better though myself.

Maybe like "Allein die Story ist besser, weil sie mich immer fesselt?"
Well, he likes the story of CV better than the story of the Metroid series. Actually he has no clue about Metroid anyway. If you stick to it, the Metroid story is actually really complex too.
