Title: TWO Mega Man spiritual successors?
Post by: Abnormal Freak on March 07, 2014, 03:00:38 PM
Sort of.

蒼き雷霆 ガンヴォルト / Azure Striker Gunvolt : The first trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Wm8-DsVqHE#ws)

Inafune presents (directs?) a new Inti Creates game which looks incredibly similar to their Mega Man Zero/ZX games.

Looks pretty hype and I love me some Mega Man Zero.

Now that we have not Mega Man and not Mega Man Zero, will we see a not Mega Man Battle Network?

If it were to come out at a later date that this was originally pitched as a ZX3 I wouldn't be surprised at all.
I hope this gets localized and released on Wii U as well as 3DS. 3DS gets all the good shit it seems.

Since Soul Sacrifice, Inafune has delivered. I'll always be behind his projects. I'll get this, just as I'll get MN9.

Capcom wouldn't dare.

Capcom should just sell Inafune the damned Mega Man character license so he can actually do us Mega Man games and none of the Not Mega Man games. It's apparent his heart still lies with the little Blue Bomber.

I wish! Mega Man is after all his brainchild so letting of something he loves and made is very difficult.

no way in a million years will capcom ever sell off the Mega Man property to anybody, despite their neglect

its more likely theyll do a joint-collaboration with Comcept sometime in the future, id like to see how that could go down

Brainchild suggests Inafune solely created Mega Man; not so as the character sprite had already been drawn by the time Inafune came aboard, but it was Inafune's job to bring the character to life on paper, so I'd definitely consider him a co-creator.

He didn't become a producer until later on.

I'll definitely be getting this, and Might No. 9. I'm even going to get Ninja Gaiden Yaiba Z just to support Comcept. After seeing how well Mega Man was handled in the new Smash Brothers game, I would not be adverse to Nintendo buying the rights to him. With their obscene warchest they could definitely afford it.

I feel I'm the only Mega Man fan in the world who can't get behind this & MN9. I just see them as hacks.

If MN9 didn't get Inafune and company sued, this sure wouldn't.

And if that was going to happen at all, I'm sure we'd have looooong since heard about it, considering the serious bank brought in by the kickstarter.

I have to wonder if IntiCreates is working on this and MN9 at the same time though. I guess they'd just set their own schedule for that game since it's already funded???

To be realistic, what Capcom should do is swallow their pride (that's all this Megaman 'apocalypse' was about really) and give Comcept an open license to produce the official Megaman game from now on.
It would be no different than the Archie comic.
Of course watching Inafune give Capcom the figurative finger has delighted me to no end as well.
