I am new to this forum but have longtime been a Castlevania fan.
I was just interested to know what piece of music from any Castlevania game is your favourite.
Mine is the Castle Wall theme from C64.
I love the tribal drums and build up into a dark but beautiful piece of music.
Absolutely classic.
-
Wood Carving Partita from SotN will always be my favorite.
But I love all the rest of the classic/metroidvania tunes equally.

Heart of Fire(HoDe version) is my favorite. I like many others but that's my fav.
-
I love so many that my opinion on this could change almost daily.
That said.. These are some of the best tracks the franchise has to offer. I could never pick a favorite. But if i had no choice, it would be from this list.
bloody tears (Dracula X Chronicles)
dance of the holy man (Super Castlevania 4)
Praying hands (Belmont's revenge)
Ripe seeds (Belmont's revenge)
The tragic prince (Symphony of the night)
Vampire killer (Castlevania)
Monster dance (Simons Quest)
Battle of the holy (Castlevania adventure)
-
Theme of Simon Belmont and Dance of Pales.
-
Dusk's Holy Mark/Empty Tome, from Order of Ecclesia. It wasn't instantly my favorite, but it really grew on me.
-
Heart of Fire (HD).
-
Some really interesting songs.
Definitely going to check these tracks out.
Thank you all kindly for your replies.
-
Favorite Recurring piece: Bloody Tears. :)
Favorite individual piece: Opus 13.
I also like the sweet rave party remix of Vampire Killer in SOTN. There's only one way Alucard can settle the differences between him and his father, and that, my friends, is with a DDR match. 8)

Whatever the name of the theme for the Coliseum was in Symphony of the Night.

Whatever the name of the theme for the Coliseum was in Symphony of the Night.
There's a Spanish sounding remix as well which is pretty bad ass
-
I like beginning, bloody tears, wicked child, simons theme, vampire killer, pretty much the whole 1st NES game.
rondo, chronicles, bloodlines, simons quest, dracs curse, cv. adventure, SCV4,
...all have delightful OSTs, imo.
-
I have too many favourites to count, both from the original timeline and from LoS. Bloody Tears however holds a soft spot in my heart, especially the gothic metal version often wrongly attributed to Cradle of Filth. It was the first piece of Castlevania related music which I ever heard, and I was hooked.

Wandering Ghosts? Sick jam.
As of right now its Theme of Simon but Aquarius could sneak up on it.
-
All of them are awesome but if I would pick one:
Character Theme: Awake - CotM
Stage Theme: Enemaos Machine Tower - CoD (especially that one from the 1 hr medley from monjakure), maybe because it's full of feels or some attribute.
-
House of Sacred Remains. Haven't heard a better one yet.
-
Leon's Theme in LoI!
I've always thought the piano sounded like it's playing a classic silent movie soundtrack where the main character has to rescue his lady. At the end of the game, it really makes me feel like I need to see things through. Totally an underrated track.
-
As a rule, I answer this with Sinking Old Sanctuary (any version), but it's a very difficult question.
Crystal Teardrops deserves honorable mention.
-
My favorite music piece will always be Clockwork, in his CVIII version (NA version, by the way :P). I can`t get tired of hearing such track, I love how the Clock Tower feels with that music :).
-
Ruined Castle Corridor from Aria of Sorrow i'd say
-
Another shout out for Dance of Pales. Quite partial to Opposed Bloodlines (love that violin intro in CV64). Praying Hands, Forest of Monsters . . . argh there are too many!

In case you're wondering they brought back this tune for the machine tower in CotM. It was a nice remake :)

Crystal castle or New Messiah rocks my socks off in fact Belmont's revenge has one of the best Soundtract's in the entire series. But to say make a top 10 would be very, very difficult
My most played I-pod song is this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8Uqy9L_xtk&noredirect=1 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8Uqy9L_xtk&noredirect=1)
Ahh god this song is just so CV one can't deny that this song is so Castlevania. It's so powerful, dark, ominous, it gives me a feeling of when I look into the distance I wonder what's out there and when I'm studying I feel like I'm finding out the Da vinci code. It stuck with me when I was controlling the sun and moon making an eclipse in LoS it's just a powerful song and it's without in my top 3 cv songs.
another one I like is The Discolored Wall

This played in Italy such a messed up song and the whole level was just so incredible iirc a fountain of blood just spewed out of no where. JUst an incredible level hell bloodlines is incredible and I'll say this right now: alot of folks put Yamane at the top because of SOTN and her other works but bloodlines just blows it out of the water for me.

Sinking Old Sanctuary. The Bloodlines version. In my mind, there's just no competition. (Well, Awake from Circle of the Moon was pretty good, but still...)
-
Awake is pretty awesome! I think I'd have to go with Sinking Old Sanctuary though from the N64.
-
Welcome to the Dungeon The AxeLord :)
-
Not sure I have a favorite, but "Stalker" gets stuck in my head quite frequently. As a kid (and even now) I had my own words to go with it. "Down-down boogie! Down boogie! Down-down boogie! Boo-gie!"
-
X-D I do that too, although usually only with "la la's", "na na's", and "doot do's"...as if those could be considered legit lyrics! ;-)
-
Garibaldi Temple. That said, there are a ton of great songs from the series and a lot of them are rarely talked about just because the stand-out pieces are just so... stand-out-ish.
-
In case you're wondering they brought back this tune for the machine tower in CotM. It was a nice remake :)
Yes, is a very nice remake, but... I prefer the slower pace from the NES version :). My eternal dream is to play that track in a piano... and even I dont know how to play piano :P.
As for CoTM, the first time that I played it, I reallly got amazed when I heared classic CV tracks (from Bloodlines, CVIII, SCIV, CV64...).
-
The waterfall in Super Castlevania 4. That scene changed the way that I thought about video games.

Today I rediscovered the lost Castlevania masterpiece known as Thrashed in the Cave.
And then I considered writing a continuation to http://castlevaniadungeon.net/forums/index.php/topic,7487.0.html (http://castlevaniadungeon.net/forums/index.php/topic,7487.0.html)
