With quite a few alterations to the source material, I think a solid adaptation game could work... with the right ideas that is...
What do you guys think?

Not a chance. The novel is not suited to a game format at ALL. if you are going to alter it so significantly to fit it into a game structure, particularly Castlevania, then why bother adapting the novel at all?

The closest we'll ever get is probably the shameless ripoff "Master of Darkness" on the Master System and GG. Sadly a rather dull game where your best melee weapon is a walking cane.

Don't forget that there's already a game version of Bram Stoker's Dracula on NES and 16 bit consoles, well it's actually based from 1992 film anyway.

Not true actually. There was two earlier threads about a similar discussion as to whether or not a CV version of Bram Stoker's Dracula could be possible. Lot's of good and interesting ideas emerged as well as different story segments that helped explain many things about Bloodlines in general.

Whatever Konami wanted to do for Survive, I do not care. I really love "Comic Adventures" but this is Castelvania we are talking about.
