Title: Was jumping straight into Mirror of Fate a bad idea?
Post by: The Zeldaniac on March 17, 2014, 11:55:20 PM
Okay, so recently I got my hands on Mirror of Fate on my 3DS. It's the first 3D Castlevania game I've played, and I jumped straight into the game without even WATCHING the other two LoS games (not to mention, I don't own a PS3 or 360, so I can't play the other two games... sucks being a Nintendo fanboy sometimes...). So, my question is, in terms of the games' story, was it a good or bad idea for me to immediately start playing Mirror of Fate without any knowledge of the prior games' story whatsoever? And, if so, could someone please give me a quick follow-up?

Not at all, LoS1 has very little to do with LoS2 aside from some character names. MoF is more important. LoS 1 is the best of the 3 though. It's actually pretty cool if you leave it for last.

Most of the events in LoS1 are pretty self-contained, and the stuff that matters for Mirror of Fate is mostly explained in game. You'll probably be good.

Play Mirror of Fate first, Then LoS2, and after that, play LoS1 as a "prequel".
