Pretty much what the title says. IGA has responded at least once to a PM on Facebook sent to him. I've a Japanese acquaintance of mine who says she would be willing translate from English to Japanese (granted I don't know if she'll actually follow through). And of course, I don't know if he'll actually respond. The Chapel of Resonance tried once, via his blog, and recieved no response. I think his blog is dead now, come to think of it.
I'm not sure what to ask. I would like to ask him the extent of his role in Symphony of the Night, since for the past year and a half there's been a sort of meme that he did nothing of value or that the game was mostly completed by Hagihara when he was hired. What else should we ask him?
-
ask him if he's ever heard of the castlevania dungeon
if yo friend wont translate then we have Shiroi Koumori & Koutei & Nagmo
where his relationship with Yamane & Kojima stands nowadays
if there were at any point ideas to create more "castlevania rebirth"-style games
his opinion on the industry as a whole
his favorite games of the past 2-5 years

I want to know what the deal was with the Alucard game. Why was it cancelled? Is it true he was unhappy about Konami revealing it at TGS.
Also, why can't the Belmonts touch the whip. I don't except to ever hear the answer from Konami.

he can't answer those kinds of questions though.

I would love to hear closure on both of these.

Same here. But you have to wonder if he really thought about these story elements through before implementing them game-wise.
-
I would ask him:
"Do you have any regrets from your tenure as the head of the CV franchise? Is there anything you wish you could have done differently or that you would change?"

He's actually offered something like an answer to this at the end of one of his answers to a question in the USGamer interview that just came out, so that's fortuitous since you can get something of a quick answer:
USG: There's a trend these days of classic game developers going independent and getting the band back together, so to speak. Do you plan to work with people like Ayami Kojima and Michiru Yamane, who are so closely linked with your Castlevania games?
IGA: Obviously I worked with a lot of talented people on a wide variety of Castlevania games. So, yeah, probably the core people that fans will associate with bringing the band back together for a Castlevania game will include names like Yamane and Kojima. There are lots of other really talented people that maybe aren't as high profile but are absolutely necessary to create that kind of experience. And I know lots of different artists, of course, as well, that have helped make the franchise what it is. So, knowing those people and potentially being able to work with them is defintiely something that I'm looking into. Because I want to work with talented people that really make the games the gamers like. With Kojima, I don't talk with her as much as I used to, but with Yamane, I go out drinking with her a lot, so... [laughs]

What games was he working on before SoTN?

What games was he working on before SoTN?
Tokimeki Memorial
Detana Twimbee
Gradius 2
I would just want to ask him if he wants to talk to the people here in CVD. Then perhaps if he is willing to join the boards as well. Then we can start asking him questions that are bothering a lot of us. :)

What does IGA eat for breakfast?
-
I've already sent the questions for translation. ;_;
-
he can't answer those kinds of questions though.
Well, we can ask what he planned. That would be good enough for me. On the same note, we know he already has the 1999 story planned out in his head. Perhaps he could tells us a few details about that also.
-

I'm trying to greatly emphasize to him that I just want his opinion and not Konami's. I was going to ask about his greatest regret during his tenure but I was afraid he'd just repeat releasing the timeline thing again.
Someone elsewhere said I should've asked about the rumor that said Shanoa was designed after his wife but that's just kind of weird and probably reached into uncomfortable territory
-
Why wasn't he ok with victor being Julius? Was it because he knew of the shitty treatment he was getting?

I mean story related questions like, "What happened during x period of time?" or, "what happened here?" he can't answer story related questions too deeply, because anything he says is not canon anymore, and holds no worth anymore. And certain things are internal story information that the public is not supposed to know anyway. (Such as Capcom already having an established series of events that take place between Mega Man classic and X, but it's internal and secret)

Right, but that's why I'm hoping he can just say what he thinks happened, not what Konami says will/did happen. I don't necessarily expect him to respond in the first place, anyway. :/
