For those of you who still play Dark Souls 1, I would like to know your opinions regarding an annoying issue I'm having regarding the PvP. It's not like I hate PvP. I like it, but for some reason everyone hates me when I'm invading. It seems that every time I invade someone, if there are other invaders, instead of attacking the person we're invading, they will stop and kill me instead. I would think that invaders should work together to kill the target. I mean so long as we're alive when the target dies, it counts as a victory for all of us (except for the target that is).
Seriously, while invading as a Forest Hunter in the Darkroot Garden, the other 2 invaders as well as the target and the 2 phantoms he summoned, came after me and all 5 gang banged me. That's not right! It's not like I did anything to them. I'm just playing the game as intended.
What do you all think? Has anyone else had this annoying issue happen to them?

My bro had issues with invaders on his game. Fortunately for him it was actually quite funny since it was always the same dude. The invader thought that he was "ALL THAT". And my bro proved that dude wrong on every occasion, LOL!
In terms of invaders it's just stupid. I have no idea what the creators were thinking when they came up with this concept. The game is hard enough as it is without a troll hunting you down just to s**t in your face. The game would have been a lot better if the players could only enter into another game to help the other player. The whole PvP thing just attracts trolls of all sorts so it is pretty ridiculous. best way to stop this is to disconnect your internet from your console. That'll shut them up >:(

And thats a reason, why i'm playing it 99% of the time offline.

Playing Dark Souls offline is a good way to miss a lot of content. If you don't want to get invaded, just stay hollow. Don't be such a pansy about it.

Let's just say that i'm not a big fan of online gaming.... :P

You guys seem to be missing the point. I'm not worried about getting invaded. Hell, I spend most of the game hollow. What I'm trying to get at is your opinion on invaders killing other invaders instead of going after the target. For example, you are invading via the Forest Hunter Convenent and while invading someone, someone else who is invading the same world kills you when they should be going after the owner of that world. I mean as long as the owner dies, all the dark spirits invading that world win. Hell, the target could accidentally fall off a cliff and it would still count as a victory for the invaders. So, what's the point in killing other invaders when having them around potentially increases the chances of victory?

Maybe they hate partners and prefer to work alone? It has never happened to me before, so i can't understand the reason behind it....

I'm wondering if people are just doing it to be an ass. That's what it sounds like to me, anyway.
I actually like being invaded...adds more tension when you're alerted that someone just entered your world. It's fun to test your skill against someone else, too.
Invasions seem pretty screwy in Dark Souls 2, though...I've only been invaded like 3 times. Cracked blue eye orbs never find anyone, and I never get summoned to help anyone when I wear the Blue Sentinel ring (I put it on every time I turn human). The only reliable source of PvP seems to be the Belfry right now. Although a guy I know gets invaded constantly in NG+...

After doing some research on various wikis, I found out that if an invader kills the host, all the invaders present receive an amount of souls based on the amount of souls the host needs for their next level up multiplied by 10%. If the host kills an invader, he/she as well as any phantoms they summoned and all other invaders present receive the amount of souls the host needs for the next level up multiplied by 25%. If an invader kills another invader, it's the same as if the host kill the invader.
However, there is one exception: If a invader invading via the Forest Hunter Covenant dies while invading, other forest hunters present do NOT receive the souls the host, phantoms, and other invaders do.
