"We all loved Fire Emblem at the time and, of course, we wanted to make games, not software, so we interpreted the instruction as a brief to make a business-themed Fire Emblem game."
That is beautiful. Wonderful interview, by the way. I wonder which member of Rondo's team was his wife? It's also cool that the ruined Japanese castle was sort of his genesis towards this whole thing.

That's a great in-depth interview. So often game developer interviews don't try to go that far back to delve into the past experiences of the developers that they're interviewing (when pertinent) or often times they aren't able to ask the right questions to get them there. That interview definitely goes further than most.

Iga liking FE just made my day

I love this interview. Finally, we have some insights on what he was doing when he was young.
-
I'm curious who his wife is? And is she still working at Konami?
If so, he will be able to steal information on the upcoming Castlevania games hehe.
-
Great article, lots of cool insight. Inspires hope for a future 'spiritual successor' (of Fate?) to the series.
It bothered me that the article had grammar mistakes and got Keiji Inafune's name wrong... but still a great read.

She is one of the people who worked in RoB. We don't know her name.
I don't think she is still working at Konami since it is the norm during that era that women leave the company when they start to have children. But I might be wrong.
If Konami still is backing Castlevania. As far as I know, in the Konami Style Japan site, Castlevania is already relegated to a lower position on the game titles list.

I looked up every female staff member of Rondo because reasons. I found:
Tomoko Sano and Reika Bando. I may have missed a few.

Now we just have to look up which one looks like Shanoa :P

According to the interview (AoS, LoI) which I looked at before, his wife has already resigned the video game industry.

I found out that Reika worked in SotN. Then nothing after.

Tomoko also left Konami. She has her own website:

The answer is probably on IGA's Facebook, by the way. :P

IGA is Facebook friends with SUDA51. Collaboration, pleez.

He just has it as 'married' but not to whom.
-
Unless I get a JPN-spelled name, I probably won't be able to catch whether his wife is friends with him on FB anyway.
-
I remember seeing a picture on his wall with someone who was most likely his wife eating in a restaurant.

That was a great read! Reading stuff like that for me is motivational!
