Title: Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire announced for 3DS

Apparently it's a "fresh take" on the originals, is it only going to be slightly different story-wise like HG&SS, I wonder?

Based on the trend, those will appear after a new set of pokemon games whatever their name might be.

Half the charm of Pokemon remakes comes from those familiar areas and characters you're allowed to rediscover. Take that away, and you're taking away half of the satisfaction they provide. If you want a new experience, there's still time to play through Ruby or Sapphire before Alpha and Omega are released. It'll make the return to Hoenn that much more worthwhile.

They didn't run out of precious minerals ideas that quickly did they? What about making a Pokemon Turquoise, Amethyst, Zircon, etc. And if Nintendo really wanted to get hardcore with Pokemon then the next title should be Pokemon: Uranium 235, lol.
