I got Jorge's permission before posting this (as not to violate any forum policy).
This is the US version of Chronicles. I purchased it brand new and played it maybe once or twice to check out the new intro and Simon's sprite re-design (then never touched it again). The disc is in excellent shape...

Yeah I'm not a big fan of the remade version it's pretty fun but pales in comparison to the original, after coming off of that where 4 hits kills you for almost the entire game it was a walk in the park. The music was improved though for the remake. I can actually listen to it.

I understand that you sold it already, but I find it odd that you sold a used game at retail price. Is this hard to find or something for most people? They still have it at my local Wal-Mart...

Its because the warehouses that walmart use. Even I question things sometimes even though I work at walmart. Every now and again you see old games come out to the stores for no odd reason. Example, we got a few ps1 games that came in like 2 weeks ago. I even seen warcraft 2 about two months ago. They still are bringing out windows xp disks.
Im not exactly sure why that is though. I guess its an attempt to make space for newer things.

The game is very rare. I bought mine used at EB a few years ago for $35.

My friend gave me his mint conditioned one for free. He didn't like it, silly guy mainly only enjoys the Castleroids O.O.

The remake offers a Hard Mode, which, in my opinion, is quite possibly more difficult than the original version.

Well, it came out in 2001, didn't it? It's pretty hard to come by at a reasonable price now days, I reckon. I based my price on what the average Ebay price for a used Chronicles disc appears to be. It looks to go anywhere from $30 to $50.
I haven't sold it yet (still awaiting funds from buyer). Payment should arrive in the mail tomorrow or the next day.
-
BTW what would be a fair price for a Dracula X SNES cart? It doesn't contain the original box or booklet, unfortunately (just the cart).
-
If you have a Chronicles at your Walmart then you should buy it. Even if you have one already, it's a pretty solid "investment" since it's price usually goes for more than retail on ebay. If you don't want to sell it, it would also make good trading fodder for another game you might like.

The Drac X cart alone will go from anywhere between $30 to $60 usually. If it were complete you could sell it for about $90.
There's always exceptions, especially on ebay. A lot of it depends on who's watching the market, and what's happening in the retail market also. When Drac X chronicles came out, you could find a complete Rhondo for under $100 dollars. But the prices for Drac X for the snes went up a little since it wasn't included in the remake.
Anyway, hope that helps.

About four years ago I had this game stolen right out of my house by someone who I have known a long time and thought was trustworthy. I wish I could get a copy of this game. If its not at Walmart where can I get it and dont say Ebay.

Something came up with original buyer, so Chronicles is re-listed for sale if anybody wants it.
Same price: $30.00 + $6 S&H

Yo Thad it's Bob. I think it only poetic justice that I be the one to buy it from you. I had my copy of Chronicles stolen from me. I will buy it from you. Can you wait until Thursday to ship it out though? That is the day I get paid so we will do it then. Ok?
-
Not a problem at all, Bob. I will hold it for you until payday. Thanks.
-
Darn it! I got the EUR version because I was sick of seeing it go for $50 on ebay and I figured I could just burn a US version and play it but never did. Is there a practical and cheap way for me to play my copy? It does have a great and only cost me maybe under $30 I think.
