While i was searfing youtube, i came across this one:
MMF2 - Castlevania Tears of Pain (WIP) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dp5IZ0l44mM#ws)
It's looking very good and action style, not metroidvania, but i could be wrong.
Here you can listen to the soundtrack remixes for the music that's going to be in the game:

Ok, here is some info from the guy, behind this project, that he has posted on FFshrine:
Thanks all! Sorry if my english is bad, i'm french. So i'm a student in video game, in Paris. I work with an another student of the Montreal's Ubisoft Campus who will be my Level Designer. The OST has been composed to promote my project and I'm actually working on the Game Design Book. The forum is under construction and i need an Art Designer (from deviantart for example) to complete my team.
The game will be an action game with Julius Belmont as hero. There will be an alternative to play with Alucard. I've got a lot of features to put in the game without forget the spirit of the classic castlevania games. There wiil be 6 levels with 4 primes levels. The graphic and monster will be taken from CSotN and from the DS Games. I'll try to modify the graphic and mix them to have an original style. I can't say anymore about the project!

That does look pretty cool :o

Hm..interesting..though it would be nice to see more than 1 room.. like the title though.. Anyone ever youtube search a cv clone style game called ROE..their are 4 vids i believe. It surfaced in 2009 i belive..but i have heard nothing since..looked really promising though!
-
Even if this vid is only a demonstration it looks promising! I also like the effects the they did for the sub-weapons. Chances are we're looking at what could be a fan-made 1999 battle since Julius Belmont is the main hero, and with Alucard as an alternative character.
-
That's his idea, to make the 1999 battle. It would be cool if he finish it.
-
He most likely graduated, then entered Ubisoft and forgot about his fan project.
-
This video was posted february 2014 on his chanel. So i doubt he has forgotten about it.
-
Looks ok but I'm so bored of seeing SOTN graphics in fan games.
-
Yeah me too. Who knows, the creator might decide down the road to change them up with his own graphics.
-
Me too, i'd love to see some new graphics.
