I can't really say because they (used to) post here, and I wasn't interested in calling them out or anything. I just really wanted to know if I was missing something with the design.
And here I though the argument would spin around the "Knight saves princess" trope, because it feels sexist how she couldn't save herself despite being a knight and still needing a male knight to do it.
But no, they always aim for the ridiculous arguments.
Of note: I find nothing in Shovel Knight even slightly sexist. The argument I proposed would be their strongest hand in arguing about this supposed sexism.

Despite the story being she was just fine, but corrupted.
And the fact that, yknow, she's literally invincible gameplaywise as she has shields on both arms.
which IMO, is pretty cool as far as gimmicky funny weapons go.
