Ys | イース PS4 Project Reveal Trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DnpVygfNQn8#ws)
Looks like they kept the high-speed party-based combat from Seven and Memories of Celceta, but ditched the overhead camera in favor for a 3D one. This might give more life to the world of Ys. On top of that, other stuff like climbing, and the return of jumping.
Hyyyyyyyyyped.

You and me both! I just hope that this is an all-original Ys title and not a remake. The PSP Vita version of Ys 4 was not a good adaption.

It looks to be. I don't recognize either of the characters Adol was with. Plus, I doubt their next-gen debut would be a remake.

I love Japanese commercials! ;D

I'm glad for a home console Ys. I think the last I played was Ark of Napishtim on PS2(loved it). Some people in different forums were bitching about how it's not pushing the PS4 graphics, but they gotta remember that Falcom isn't an AAA studio. As far as I'm concerned, I could care less about them zapping out their budget on AAA graphics if it means they can(and most likely WILL) deliver a tight action adventure game that's fun as hell(and don't forget that awesome Ys quality music, which after ALL these years since the 80s until now, really haven't deviated from it's innate style). PS4 Ys.... I'm THERE!!!

Falcom has never focused on graphics, from what I've seen. Plot (as simplistic as they can be), music, and especially gameplay always come first. Like said, Falcom isn't a AAA studio, either.
The Ys games I've played are... well, almost all of them. I & II Chronicles, Oath in Felghana, Ark of Napishtim, Origin, Seven, Memories of Celceta, Wanderers, Mask of the Sun, Kefin, etc. There are some I still need to play, but a new Ys game is always a welcome thing because they're easily some of my favorite games.

Geez what is up with falcom's obsession with party system? its quite annoying i want to play alone and feel like a badass!

I personally prefer the Seven/MoC style of gameplay. It adds more diversity to the gameplay, and quite a bit more depth even when fighting just goons. Now don't get me wrong. I love Oath and Origin, but their goons boil down to either whack it until it's death, downward-thrust it until it's death, or magic it until it's dead. The enemies in the party games have much more moves, are more diverse, and you're required to switch between characters to actually combat enemies, even when you're fighting LV2 enemies at LV60.
Plus, it makes the adventure more lively with companions along.

Hell yes. That looks pretty awesome, for what little we saw. That's going to be on my radar.

The party system is alright by me. Although I do miss traipsing around with just Adol like in the classic series.
