Finally -- that's good enough news to pull me back down here. Time to put my Wii U to use again.

Wow.
I already have Rondo of Blood and can easily emulate DraculaXX, but it's nice that they finally make it to Virtual Console.
(Rondo of Blood hasn't come out on Wii-U virtual console, so DraculaXX is late but gets a better overall experience, what with Miiverse and all).

sigh
when are they gonna port The Arcade

Unfortunately never. There's such a small minority of people who even know it exists.

The new lost classic.
-
Shame too, given the Wii U could replicate its graphics and have MotionPlus controls.
I'm in for both new VC titles. Dying to have Bloodlines on there.
-
If Bloodlines came outta nowhere that'd be pretty groovy.
But yeah... :( about The Arcade...

Wait, Circle of the Moon is going to be on Wii U? How is that gonna look on there? Or am I missing something completely?

I have the Wii U VC release for Metroid Fusion and it looks real nice, no blurring as long as the filter is turned off. Nintendo's done a nice job on converting GBA games to the big screen.
I have an Ouya with GBA.emu and they look about comparable, with the Wii U having a slightly darker palette, probably more accurate like the way their NES VC colors are.

2 virtual console castlevanias at the same time. they sound serious about Castlevania. Bloodlines/Harmony of Dissonance next??
-
I have these games in various incarnations already (Rondo on PSP and Wii), plus the others mentioned on their original consoles. Good for those who no longer have those consoles, meh to those of us have the games already.

I still own the carts but there's nothing quite like having all the games "under one roof" so to speak, especially when they look so nice on an HDTV.

This news has been hinted at for a number of months now, as I recall. When I inevitably get a Wii U, I will be picking up Dracula X (SNES). I own the original cart, but it's consistently in my top 3 favorite games in the series. In fact, it's one of the titles that solidified me as more than a casual fan of Castlevania. It's a fun pick-up-and-play title with its arcade feel, sweet soundtrack, painterly visuals, and unique challenges. (The knock of it not being a 1-to-1 port of Rondo has really given it an unfair reputation over the years. I'm very happy to see it get this release, as it's one of those games I always want available to play.)
I really hope Bloodlines comes next, as I have never had great access to that title to fully enjoy it.
